Manoj Tiwary and Kieron Pollard, both got their first century in ODI cricket in the last match of the India vs WI series. The pitch was not an easy track to bat on. The pitch was slow and having low bounce. India lost the initial wickets early and it was Tiwary's duty to steady the innings. he Played a good innings according to the situation and went on to score a good century knock of 104(126) and got retired hurt.he scored the century with 10four's and 1 six.He got this maiden century in his 6 ODI, so he also a future prospect for the team. Kieron pollard played an excellent innings, almost like a one man show.He scored 119(110), he completed the century with a life given from virat by dropping a catch. he simply hit the ball for sixes. It looked like he played effortlessly. He hit 10sixes and 4 fours on this course of 119.He scored this century after 50 matches for WI. The pitch was same, the match was same, both scored their maiden century. But Tiwary's style and Pollard's style was totally different...

Yes, it was a contrasting sytle of scoring their centuries. Pollard was all muscle power, while Tiwary's was a more steady innings. The only thing in common was their teams were in a spot of bother when they started their innings and came up trumps. Cheers! Ram

Manoj was depending more on singles, which was a good strategy at that time. But he is young, still he got retired hurt, after making a century that's pathetic. He should give more preference to his fitness also.
