Its Christmas time again, and again since my birthday is near to CHRISTmas day i still remember the funny thing but heart warming story of my friends that visit my house and came to sing songs for me. During night since Christmas is coming too many Carolers standing in front of many houses and sing a song of joy. On the date of my special day, 5 am in the morning a group of people singing a joyful song outside in front of my window. I was listening to them and enjoying the music that i heard. the common 2 songs for a carolers became 3 songs. and became 4 then i knew because its my day that it is my friends who serenade me. the funny thing is my grandfather who was sleeping beside my room shout at me saying girl! give this 10php bill to the carolers for them to leave! because too many songs were sing and the neighbors will be disturb. then i open our doors laughing at my friends who also laughed because they heard my grandfather. Next to it is tears flowing with the wishes and prayers from my friends. Oh i miss it so much... What would you say to them if i were you??

Oh what a nice surprise your friends has given you. But then, they have chosen an unholy hour indeed. But then, they are so thoughtful and creative indeed.

Its a morning serenade. And in the province people are starting to wake up by that time. To some its the lovely hour to sleep deep. Hahaha anyway its jut once a yr and sometimes once in a blue moon. So my neighbor gave me my day without complain..

Oh yes, they cannot complain, because it's the spirit of Christmas - be forgiving. Bawal ang sumimangot! (It's prohibited to frown). So, like me you are also born in December.

Well, it is a lovely story. And i wish i can have some friends like yours. Though they may disturb the neighbors. But considering everyone can have some crazy moments. It is understandable. And happy birthday to you, my friend.

had a similar experience and everytime i remember it, i missed all my housemate before. we are batchmates in college and after graduation, to have a better review school, we went to cebu for our board exam review. it was my first time to live away from home and i was homesick because it will be the firts time i will be celebrating my birthday away from home. on te eve of my birthday, they waited for me to sleep and waited until 12 midnight, turned off all the lights, lighted candles and sang happy birthday to me. i woke up crying and it was the first time i let other people see my cry.

Actually it was a tears of joy by then thats why you let them see it. If it is bitterness you dont wanna see anyone,.. Nice to remember memories of the past that we treasure a lot. Wishing we might ecperience it again in different intensity..

Oh, That's so sweet of them! You are one lucky girl, I must say. I wish my friends are as thoughtful as yours. I mean, for them to wake up so early just to serenade you was just so touching. Moments like this is truly priceless.. I guess a simple thank you would do and will hug and kiss each one of them as well. How i wish this will happen to me. A girl can dream! haha

oh wow 5am that is early, should be a law against that I live in Australia and we don't have carollers here but I see them on Americam movies and on Christmas cards and I never knew until I read on Mylot discussion that people actually gave them money, I was under the impression they just did with Christmas spirit, but then at 5am you would need something I guess, not sure it would always be money though, not here in Australia

Actually they did was not to ask for money, they came early morning to serenade me beause it my birthday! My grandpa was just mistakenly identify them as one group of carolers. We just give to carolers money not as payment but a form of gratitude for they kind act.

That was nice of them to do that for you. However, I think they could of done it at a more appropriate hour. Caroling at 5am!?!? Thankfully no one carols around here, nor have I ever seen it aside from movies and tv.
