Do you believe in God? Why or why not?

This subject has always interested me in so many ways, people always have different opinions on this and I would like to know as many of them as I can. I personally do believe in God, for two simple facts: 1. The Big Bang Theory, which is agreed to be the most sufficient explanation of the natural creation of the universe (by chance) is known to scientists as a Singularity in Physics. This means that it does not follow natural/normal physics laws that apply to this universe. If this is the case, how can the creation of the universe be thought of as 'a chance occuring in nature' at all. 2. The Theory of Evolution has no evidence, neither theoretical nor practical of how we, humans, came to existence from the random colliding molecules in the early universe. I believe I heard at some point that the chance of the universe making a human eye in this way is way greater than the age of the earth. I'd like to hear what you think of this.

I too, believe in life out of earth. Having several Gods destroys the meaning of the word God. God is the ultimate entity, unmatched by no other by all means. Having several Gods just doesn't make sense. In some religions, the supernatural creatures responsible for control of things like seas are thought of as being Angels who have tasks assigned by the one and only God. To me this makes more sense.

That is exactly the point, God is to be ultimate in everything, including power.

I do believe that God exists. Without God, we will not be able to live here on earth. He is the source of life and all other existing things, living or non-living.

Right on sister! God is alive and well and He will return to take His children up in the sky to be with Him. I just don't see what the problem is with those who don't believe in Him. I guess they will have to see when He returns.... huh?

Not being satisfied with the the Big Bang Theory and the Theory of evolution does not justify the fact that God does exist and that he created us. I wanna know, do you believe in everything the bible says? If you believe in God, you must believe in the bible right?

I am a bit confused here. Why must one believe in the Bible if they believe in a god or gods. There are many sacred texts in this world. The Bible is just one of many.

I'm not christian. I am not satisfied and I believe that believing in God is a completely personal choice. In my case, I do believe in God, in some other cases people choose to believe that science will prove the absence of a God someday.

mel0482, I do too. Whether it's through scientific absence of theories that explain everything about the world or not, I still believe in God :) lovetmyou, I'm very happy for you. To some people there is just not enough evidence to prove the presence of God. I have always believed in God, whenever I think of causing harm I remember that God is watching. I'm not sure how I would be if I didn't believe in God, but I'm pretty sure it'll be worst than the person I am now.

Believing in God means change of heart. When I first ask about God, it was fun for me. My question was why should I Believe in a God I can't see? The man says, do you believe in the wind? yes! Can you see it? No! Can you feel the wind? Yes! Now you Believe it? Yes! Okay, I want you to follow me in Prayer, I did. Then I did what he said. Pray and read the Bible. I wanted to see the different with God and without God. Start out just reading the Bible. Trying to see the different it would make me. After about six months of this I started to like people more, able to help around the Church with a good felling. Yes! I know it's not about feeling. I repented to Jesus Christ and my Life was change, by doing what the Bible said. I just believe in my heart. Later I start using my time and money wisely. Today I know God in my life because I am a changed man from the inside/outside. Now Jesus lives in my life. Some will believe and some won't. God is real to me. What is your life with God? The one that don't believe what's your story?

I believe. I allow others their own belief system as long as it doesn't hurt me in any way. An atheist asked me once how I could be intelligent and believe in science and still believe in God. I thought about it before replying and said "even if I didn't have personal reason to believe, my world would be a lonelier place without God in it. I don't think I'm strong enough to make it on my own. If you think that's weak, I'm sorry, but it's the truth."

Wow. Beautiful way of expressing it. Most Atheists think we don't believe in science due to our belief in God, and I'm just like you, completely Okay with it.

We can exist in this world because we are made by our parents. So who makes them? Of course the previous generation. And if it continues to be traced onward we shall find out that mankind will never exist without first men and women. Then how they could exist, whether formed by itself.??.NO. so, basically everything is there because of there are 'Essence' that makes it. and I call it Almighty God. And I do believe that God Exists

I really like your way of thinking. I try to always explain it this way to atheists who claim we, believers, are foolish to believe in the existence of god. Unfortunately none of them can take this fact and be sufficed with it to prove the existence of God, but they just jump on to some other subject and keep doing that until it is just a waste of time trying to prove anything to them.

Given the available evidence I am inclined to say no. There are many possible explanations for the "Big Bang" and most do not require supernatural intervention. There is no "Theory of Evolution", only the irrefutable fact that it is an ongoing natural process.

I have went through many of the most scientifically accepted ones of those explanations, yet I found, in some way or the other, that the theory is not complete as it is not completely based on the universe's rules of physics.

Believe it or not, God is Exist...do not use your mind to find the God....but by feel. I do believe in God.....yes, the "big bang theory" give detail explanation how the universe was created. In the bible, God explain so much about stories in the past time, even in the future. When talking about creation of human being, In the bible, Adam is the first human created by God. and then he descended from heaven to earth.....If you think it's so,,you will confuse because I think it's just illustration. There's something secret on it. If you use your feeling, you will find out the answer....Because I have answer for myself.

You really inspired me with those words. Problem is most people just forget that not everything can be calculated and somethings are just to be believed in without absolute evidence. But I still think all people should respect each other no matter what the differences in their beliefs are.

I believe in god. It isn't a god confined in at the present power of imagination of human or any religion. To me science is the only weapon gifted to mankind by god to reach more and more near the truth. God is the ultimate truth. To me science isn't opposite to god, at the same time some religions are opposite to god, believing that their knowledge is perfect and applying violence to destruct all different thoughts.

True religions would never have it's followers to do any harm to anyone or anything. Your way of thinking is really inspiring. Before some scientific theories were made, somethings were thought of as being impossible, illusions, supernatural, etc., ultimately science gave us the answer. I really admire thinking in this way, were you are combining science with religion. I believe I have mentality about the world just like yours.

Yes I do believe in God. Even though I could not site you any theories but by reading the Bible alone it would tell you how God created us. If you look around you, you would be amaze on how wonderful His creation was and no theory or scientific facts can prove this. Yes God exist even if we don't see Him open our eyes and hearts and He would make us feel that we are being loved by Him even though we are sinners.

Well said my friend! I think our beautifully complex creation is just way too complex to have started from a 'theoretical explosion'.

I believe in God. I know that it is not by chance that I've gotten to the place I'm at now. I just don't believe everything thats in the bible is all that there is.

Although I know many people would disagree with me, but I think changing the original bible kind of ripped off what it was supposed to be in the first place. May be that's why not everything in it is believed to be true be many people.

Hello, Sum1PassingBy. I am a believer in creation. I agree with your statement about the big bang theory. When YAHVAH (GOD) said, or called something into being, BANG, it happened, instantly. I also know that evolution is a tough pill to swollow seeing that it can easily be refuted with the "real Bible". YAHVAH (GOD), and light have the exact same properties. I could give you 5 points to ponder. 1: YAHVAH is creator of all things visible-mass and invisible-energy. Nothing exists that was not createde by him. 1: Light exists as particles and waves, it is the substance that all mass exists of when broken down into its smallests parts. 2: YAHVAH never changes, is constant or immutable, is the same at rest or in motion. 2: Light's speed is constant and immutable, is the same at rest or in motion. Special and general reletivity show this. 3: YAHVAH is all knowing, all powerful, and always present. 3: Light with electromagnatism is always present, communicates to all of existance and consciousness with laws that light created. This force of structure and intelligence is a live, all powerful force that thinks, feels, hears, touches and interacts. 4:YAHVAH is the head of all things. The beginning and the end. He is eternal with eternal laws. Past present and future are now. Just repeating cycles, set to a pre-exsisting consciousness. 4: Light...all space and time are unified to the speed of light. It is the beginning and the end, all following immutable laws. 5: YAHVAH is spirit, light love. YAHVAH is alive "because in him we live, move, and have our exsistance." 5: Light's framework is all laws and motin of space and time contained within. All of this allows us to see intelligent design. True order carried out in patterns and cycles. I have written this same thing in my discussion. This is the reason I believe in YAHVAH (GOD). There is so much scientific truth. May YAHVAH bless you in all of your studies. :)

God is there for sure. Nothing moves or change without any concern of the god. God is great and everything goes with the fate written by god.
