there are punishment but no reward in your office

can you imagine work in compay who use the work principle, there are more punishment or decreased the salary if our time worker is lesst than the should be, but no reward when we make an achievement or our target is more than the expected by company?? don`t you believe the situation on the office is not good and make may workers is uncomfortable and think they must go out from their current office and looking for a new company?? share your opinion..

I think it would be very hard to work in a place that never offered a pat on the back sometimes. I know that with the economy the way it is it might be hard to give a lot of bonuses or pay raises but there are other ways to show appreciation too. I think that moral is very important for a productive group.

Most companies are like that. When it come to a reason to take away from you, they have no problem doing it. But when it comes to giving extra for something good, they either do not acknowledge it or they give you a letter saying how thankful they are for your hard work and dedication.

trust me, the company like that was left by may of their potential worker.. many workers only search the company who can give the right reward for their result.. why many company do like that?? why they never acknowledge their worker contribution??

Why? Okay, I will tell you why. Because it is all about the money, the bottom line. The workers are not people to them, they are man hours, which equals money.

With punishments, there must be rewards as well. If not, how would employees stay motivated to work for the company, when their best equals to nothing and their mistakes results in losses. A fair company is one that knows when and how to reward their staff. IF your company doesn't do that, it's best to leave because the company won't last long before they fold. When staff morales are low, there's no way to increase productivity and efficiency at work.

There are some companies that does treat people unfairly. We also have the same problem here as well. The company needs people who can manage the employee and the money as well. There are some even big companies not paying the concept of having good management in a company. Their management is like small class company that doesn't really concern about this cases. In short, they mistreat and made false conclusion for employee. The employee aren't satisfied instead of disappointed with the company conclusion.

Heck, that was one of the reasons I did not work for that company I recently applied for. When I, along with other applicants, was told about the strict policies of that company, many of us were discouraged to go. That company had already a low salary to give us monthly. Their building is located 18 kilometers from my home(my transport fee is higher than the daily salary amount), for late comers, even a minute late, your daily salary is deducted by half. I mean, what the? Why would I work my A off for that kind of job? I would be better off with another job available nearer. I think when workers are under that kind of company policy, they won't like their jobs much, because they are not rewarded fairly. Most of them wouldn't be motivated to do better, because they are paid the same amount anyway, not worth their hard work.

we had no choice..and it makes us feel boring when had to go to office.. why?? because no motivation anymore in our mind and our heart.. i think the success office was build from the workers who do 100 percent of their ability and happy when their offfice get a good things and can do anything for saving their company from crisis..

Well, i feel even worse is the company punish the hardworking employee! For lazy worker, company just left them there. For hardworking one, they give you more to work on:( too bad :(

I had this co-worker before that is so lazy that he does not perform his responsibilities in the office. We work in the IT dept and employees from our offices here in abroad contact us to fix their IT concerns. This person does not get any tickets in our queue, instead gets himself busy fixing the problem in his own computer shop. I do not wish anything bad to others, but it was really a relief that this person is no longer in the company. The new manager at that time already noticed his work ethic and had a talk with him about it. Instead of changing his bad ways, he took it personally. Is he kidding me? LOL. He does not have any right to be feeling bad when he is cheating his colleagues and the company by not performing his responsibilities. Good luck to his new company.

If I were in a situation like this I would start asking myself if is it really necessary to keep a job that doesn't make me feel happy as a person I would try to find something different, some other opportunities because the money should not be our only purpose when we are working ALVARO

"a valuable work is very expensive". Typically, a well-established company will giving reward for hard worker, to give spirit to work better. Current economic situation is not good, these workers were in a difficult situation. Although the state of the company as you say, when worker go out and find new companies, they will not be easy to get new one.

Eww~ If ever I got interviewed in a company with that kind of policy, I'd definitely decline whatever offer they have to give me. Without rewards, there's no sense in performing real well in the office. I'd definitely stay out of that kind of company and look for a new job.

Oh, you need to work in most of our country company. You late 1 minutes then your salary got cut. Nothing right in everything you do. In another company, although you got good and worthy idea, your reward is always limited, although the profit of the company is very high. You know, lazy guy often got same salary increase as hard working guy. But hardworking guy got more and more work, plus anger if they did not perform as good as usual. So need to find another freelance job to increase income (while keep got anger from office) :D

That company has a bad management structure and does not know updated concepts for better work environment. If this continues, that company will suffer by seeing its workers leave and look for better opportunities outside. If an employee excels in performing his responsibilities, I truly think that he deserves a recognition in terms of promotion, raise in salary or even as simple as treating him/her to lunch or dinner.

yes, with a poor structure management like that, maybe many of workers had lost some motivation for working maximal.. sometimes, a worker only want the company more give attention to them..not only make them as money machine.. you can imagine, the company can reduce the additional source if the workers is absence 1 day without asking the workers is not coming into office because of what.. sometimes the workers must do the office task in the home and make them very tired

There should be appreciation for the achievement made and I dont think there is a need to punish the underperformer.It is better to send them out. There should be a system of apprisal in every organisation . The apprisal form will be distributed to the HODs and they will report the performance of each employee. In our office we will select a best employee in every month and we will publish their name in the notice board and they will be rewarded. Likewise we will publish the name of people who are coming late. So over a period of time, we are seeeing some improvement.
