Have you ever wished you had brought your camera with you?

On Sunday, we took a drive through the Adirondacks and saw 3 sets of mountains. One looked like blue mountains. Another looked like sugar covered snowy mountains. The ones we were driving through, the deciduous trees looked frosted and the evergreens like regular until we got up higher and then they had snow with green tips sticking out. My husband told me not to worry because they would still be there when we remember our camera. But it was sooo bright, clear and perfict yesterday. So what did you wish you had your camera for that you missed? Will you ever get the opportunity again?

Sure, there are plenty of times I wished I had brought my camera with me. However, the biggest moment was when my husband and I got married. As we had eloped we were supposed to provide our own camera, but in all the excitement we forgot to bring it along. So there are no pictures of us from our wedding day. But at least we have the memories from it. And no, we'll never get the opportunity again...

No one knew about mine, not even our parents. Heck, some of my family didn't even know that we had eloped until years later! LOL

Wow, that's too bad. Everyone and their uncle brought cameras to mine. "I was blinded by the light." Like the song says. Thanks for responding.

I always had my cellphone camera with me but its some time it's not enough to capture what my eyes see. I want a better camera like SDLR but have no money to buy it yet. So I will have to satisfied with this one until I got the new one. I think when you traveling camera really essential especially if you look great view somewhere and maybe sold it.

Our cell phone is only a phone and our camera is only a camera. So if we forget one we're sunk.

Though my dogs rarely do their "x-box" position, they still do and it is always when I don't have my camera..(I seriously am beginning to think they plan it..) Then off course there are various nature scenes that I see that if only I had my camera, would make a beautiful picture..

I just don't think about it...lol So, how are you doing now? Has most if not all your strength returned? I hope you have a very peaceful holiday, I know that sometimes the stress this time of year can make even a healthy person feel down...

Someone here said to always bring your camera. I would, but my husband bought it and we share. Too expensive for me to get one for me, too. He bought it to photograph his finished woodworking projects. So he never thinks of anything else.

I've often wished I had my camera with me. My camera is a digital SLR so it's very big and bulky and I only tend to take it to places that I need to. It as also very expensive an I worry it may get nicked if I take it out. I often wish I had a little one to take snaps with if I go to a party or something similar. My phone however has a pretty good camera in it so I tend to use that if I don't have one with me.

Sounds like you have an automatic back up plan reguarding your Mom and Sisters, so you don't end up missing anything. That's good.

One day I was in my back yard walking my dogs when I saw this beautiful red Cardinal just sitting so still & beautiful on one of the branches of our Cherry Blossom tree, which was in full bloom at the time. It was so beautiful, it looked like the back of a post card almost. I was so mad because I wished that I had thought to bring my camera with me. Just as that thought entered my head one of my dogs spotted the bird too & started barking at it & before I knew it the bird had flown away. I've never seen such a perfect shot of this bird as I had that day, not once. I just chalked it up to a missed opportunity.

Yes, but maybe next time there will be a camera and you'll see a fox or a turkey.

It is an almost constant wish. I like the things we see when we drive in the country. Sunsets, and old barns. I also wished for my camera to take pictures of some decorations in Oklahoma City last weekend. I will not get the chance again this year.

That's too bad, some decorations are quite beautiful and unique. Someone said to always carry your phone, but my husband and I share one. He bought it for taking pictures of his finished woodworking projects, so he never thinks of it for pleasure.

Well there were those occasions that I do wish I have brought my camera with me. There were opportunities for good scenes and other scenarios worthy of taking a pictures with that I have missed simply because I have not brought my camera. So now, I make it a point to bring my camera always as much as possible so that I will be ready at all times to take pictures when the opportunity comes.

Yes, well my husband and I share a camera. But I will remind him next time that we need to bring it. Since he spent his money on it. Take care.

That thing happens to me always. I am not the kind of person who always bring a camera whenever I go somewhere else. One day, we went for a trip to my friend's province. We rode a bus. I did not exepect that we will be passing near the Taal Volcano, a small volcano on a lake. I never knew I would thirst that much for having a camera with me. All I had was my phone which had a very low quality camera. Well, from that day on, I always bring my camera whenever I go in far places.

My husband and I have one camera between us. So that doesn't work. We're saving for a washer and dryer, now for him to get his teeth fixed. So a 2nd one is out.

I have done that in the past a lot mostly when my kids would do something adorable. Now that I have my camera phone thank goodness I dont go through that anymore. Now I get most pictures I want unless they do something too fast and dont want to do it again...lol.

Where I live the only phone that works is a trackphone. otherwise we can't bounce off enough towers to get the bars to actually get a call. Funny how you can get a ring through, but not a call. They might have tphones with cameras, but the cost of minutes on that type of phone is expensive.

I have a contract so my bill is the same every month. I do much of my mylotting from my phone. I never use all my data. My camera doesn't use minutes it uses data. I get 2 gigs of data every month. I get 450 anytime minutes and 5000 nights and weekends. I never use more than I'm allotted each month. I'd never want to use a prepay plan again. I used to have that kind of phone but I prefer the contract phones.

A DVD or Camcorder, with moving pictures and audio would be ideal. But we just recently managed to afford a digital camera. My old tape recorder isn't very good. Sounds itsn't what it used to be. Thanks and take care.

I personally believe that the best things in life only happens once and when it happens again it just isn't the same anymore so yeah, I really wish that I brought my camera with me when that kind of thing happens to me. That perfect moment will never happen again if you ask me but it's okay because at the very least you experienced that moment.

True. Welcome to Mylot. I think all the mountains will be much more similar every time I see them. This was an unusual year.

Many times this has happened to me. Specially thinking that others will bring one, so I don't need to bring my own. but it turns out, others will be busy taking pictures of their own, and you might not get the shots that you want. and it made me realize that I need to bring my own camera everytime that you visit a place, may it be a house of your friend, or a historical landmark. Need to be prepared any time ;)

Yes, I really thought my husband would brring it. He kept saying how beautiful the mountains would be. What a clear day. The biggest surprise to me was that 3 sets of mountains had three sets of looks.

Oh yes, yesterday, I was just driving down my street when our mailman came riding his bike around the corner all dressed up as Santa, he does this every year in the final week of Christmas, the look on kids faces when they see him is priceless, and I might add this wonderful mailman wears his full santa suit even in mega hot weather that we have here in Australia....

That is really sweet of him. He'd make a good X-mas post card, too. Wish I could see the kids' faces. That's neat to think about.
