Found a lost friend and he made some positive changes...

A friend of mine who went to Singapore seldom talks to us or communicate with us, his friends here in the Philippines. But that changed when I attempted to contact him and asked him for a favor. I asked him if he is going home this coming holiday and he said yes. Then I asked him if he can buy me a laptop and I will just send him the money. He agreed. I expect him that he would just communicate through e-mail. But then he called me already several times and informed me that he was able to buy my laptop. He also went to the extent of buying it out of his own pocket and that I would just pay him when he has arrived already. That is a pleasant surprise.
I hope he'll always be like that to all of us from now on. We missed him and maintaining a constant communication helps to keep the bond among us.

What a good friend you have!
He never hesitated at all in buying you a laptop from his own pocket. And he even made an effort to call you when you are actually the one who's asking for a favor. I hope that every friends we have are like your friend

I too like that all friends can be like that. 
I have lots of friends but sometimes, when I ask for favor from them, they are usually hesitant to assist. But this friend of mine is a little different. I hope he would stay that way.

Yes, best friends do share and give even if they don't feel like doing so. I am now thinking if he considers me as a close friend. I'm lucky to have friends like them.

I am happy you have such good friend. Anyway it is not a small amount of money to buy laptop. I think he must trust you very much, so he can buy it with his own money. Therefore, i think you are a reliable person in his eyes.
Sometimes, there are some friends we lose contact after they move to other places, but this doesn't mean your friendship is gone. Some people don't contact with their friends just because they are busy on their jobs or too many things to deal with after moving to other places. But in their hearts, the old friends are always there. Your friend is such kind of person.

I really appreciate his effort. I will thank him when he arrives. I never thought of him as a thoughtful person. You are right, he may have trusted me so much to pay out of his own pocket. I hope I'll be able to sustain his trust.
