Transposition of letters is a very common typing error and 'teh' for 'the' and 'nad' or 'adn' for 'and' are probably the commonest of all. It is quite difficult to correct a habit once it is established. Probably exercises using the 'th' key combination with other letters will help. A few minutes practice of this kind of exercise every morning will gradually accustom your fingers to linking the 't' and 'h' keys so that it mentally becomes almost one letter.

If you use Microsoft Word, it can automatically correct such common errors as you type. Look for the Autocorrect option and turn it on.

I'm afraid I can't answer that authoritatively, saurabh_rmp, because I haven't used Outlook for many years. I think (from memory) that the full Outlook program (as part of Microsoft Office) may have an Autocorrect facility: try exploring the 'Options' menu. I'm pretty sure that the 'cut-down' version (which used to be called Outlook Express but which many users referred to as "Outlook") does not. I believe that Outlook Express is no longer shipped free with Windows (it's now called 'Windows Mail'), so you probably do mean the 'real Outlook'. The following sites may be helpful: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/turn-on-or-off-autocorrect-options-HP003085392.aspx But take note of this one! http://support.microsoft.com/kb/943519

Ya it's common for those having good speed in typing. Just today, I typed a word three times wrong the same way. I don't remember the word but it's "commomn" (i did this mistake right now for me to shuffle 'm' with 'n'.

Ha..Ha..Ha..Ha..Ha.. You notice it. I think this happen only with me, thank God I am not alone on this planet to do this type error. Although ,if you use M.S. Word, it can automatically correct such errors as you type.

That one trips me up a lot as well. Of course, there are just many times where I am going to really be typing and I do in fact catch my mistake. It does really throw me off just a little bit. I mean, it baffles me how this word in particular is going to trip me up all things considered. I mean it is only three letters, and it is not like it is an uncommon word. There have been many times where I have tried to avoid using the, so I do not get the "tehs" but as I said giving the common nature of the word, it is next to impossible to really get the word. There are many frustrating and quite baffling typos that are out there in the world. However, this might in fact be the most frustrating of them all.

yes, you are correct this is the most frustating typo error for me. almost 90% I will do mistake while writing in mail. So, what I am doing that before sending the mail, I will recheck teh mail once. But it is frustating sometimes.

It hardly ever happens to me, mainly because I don't touch type. I noticed it quite alot where people type "teh" instead of "the". I guess that is the bad part of touch typing.
