How often do you change your profile picture?

I personally change my profile picture whenever I get tagged on a photo specially on recent activities like parties, shows, events etc. But if I have my own picture from those activities, I can upload them and change it in this way as well. Changing profile picture for me is usually occasionally done.
many of my friends like taking photos of themselves, so often times they change Profile pictures. And it sometimes bother's me, and I would ask myself should I change my profile picture as well?
But I know I'm not like them who are fond of looking at themselves so I just wait for the next event and hopefully have my new profile picture by that time.
So, do you feel the same way, that you also need to change profile pictures often? is it like a competition, or being vain? and how many times do you change your profile picture?

Hi davaome this really an interesting question because I have hardly thought but the profile pic once I joined. I have this standard pic which I use across all the sites.. I have never changed my profile pic and dont feel the need to either.

I have only myLot to focus on so I haven't really thought of having some other sites, but if I will, I think i would do the same as you, and have a constant profile picture.
I think you should always put your best picture as profile, and if you can't find a better one, stick with it.

Precisely..You hit the nail on the head!! A constant profile pic I believe is necessary when you are writing across various sites to build a creditable web profile.. Just my opionion. and moreover I dont have ab etter pic than the one I have put now ;)

uh I think I don't fall into that category of facebookaholics somehow, cause I know some people literally live by it and for it. however, for me profile picture isn't something I feel like I should change when I see my friends change it, its like I don't even care when I see they changed it, it won't affect changing my own. I usually change it on a 2-3 month basis, sometimes more, depends on how many pictures I take, and I like taking pics, but I'm not really so eager to updaate my pictures every day, so only do it like monthly or same as with changing by 2 or 3 months.

that's good that it's not the later then as that would make me a bit worried :P thank you, but you know we can't all be same, in fact it would be real boring, so you sty true to yourself, its not like you're commiting a crime there feeling like changing a pic when others do. happy mylotting you too! :)
Good that others do not influence you, and you decide by yourself, a strong conviction, maybe I should be like that

I do not really change profile pictures. Maybe once in a while when I get newer pictures I will change my pictures. However, I am so last changing pictures. There was a time when another social site encouraged users to put on pictures of characters from animation or movies. I put on some scary pictures from some horror movies. I ended up with so many users chatting with me, asking me to change picture as it scared the wits out of them to have my picture staring at them as they chat with friends.

I don't change my profile that much at all. If there is a picture have that like I might put it up as my profile or leave it in my pictures files for a later date. I think I hange mine every 6 months to a year.

I don't have friends that chafe that often either. Mist of the time we chafe ours if we have a cute picture of our daughter.

I change my profile picture once every two weeks. I am finding a photo which I think is the best. I want a profile picture which is presentable enough to represent myself. I am happy that most of my friends appreciate it.

I don't change my facebook profile picture regularly, but if i feel to do it i do change it. It depends sometimes in my mood or if i feel using other pictures. If i do have new pictures i change my facebook profile pic. Sometimes i just recycling my other old profile pic.

Well, I for starters don't generally have a picture of myself as my profile picture. But I do change my picture 3-3 times a week. I update my profile photo with photos of my pets, flowers or whatever else i have taken pics of recently.
There has only been 5 actual photos that I am in that I have posted in the years I have been using Facebook. I really don't care to see myself looking back at me... :)

I don't change my profile picture very often, maybe once a year to keep it somewhat current. I am not on facebook as much as some people and I don't feel the need to constantly update. Its just the way I am. Besides, I don't take that many pictures to upload anyways. I guess I am not what you would call a photo guy.

I not change my profile photo for single time because I have no facebook account haha...so no chance to change the profile pic.

I have many friends who like to change their profile picture occasionally. But for me, i don't really bother about that. After more than 5 year having facebook account, i only change my facebook profile pictures 3 to 4 times. Well, maybe i changed them every one or two years, but for my last profile picture i haven't change it for more than 3 years. I think maybe i'm not the type who like to show my pictures to others. ^_^

That's what my friend say when I asked her about changing her profile picture often. Hopefully I am not like that.

Hello there, Its been 5 years I changed my Profile Pic on Mylot!! And my profile pic is a dancing Britney Spears! hahaha and I don't see why I should change my profile pic! :D
But if it has to be on Facebook I don't know why I get the impulse to change my profile pics, and quite often! Maybe as a girl I want to show-off my new dress, a new look, or my new hairdo, the place I'd hang out recently or simply my beautiful self! :)

I do so in a month or so when I think that people may have got bored seeing me same. So I change my profile picture on facebook. It is occasionally done but I think we all do get happy when we post a new profile picture.

I dont usually or frequently change ma profile picyure..profile picure is jst an buzzer notthin else is gin to deal with it....profile pictures are only meant to create publicty among ppls nd not to foool with the..
