Makes sense really, Preparing is essential to success in any field or any situation. Boxing matches are to be won or lost in the training gym. In a game of chess, the person who has not prepared himself to match or better the level of his opponent, will surely lose to someone who did prepare. may it not be in competition, but also in success in life, a person who has not studied for his exam will surely fail. People who don't listen to early warnings of storm coming will surely be devastated when the time of the storm will come. Simple quote but really does apply to our everyday living

I agree.Preparation cannot be replaced by a luck!Do not always expect for a good luck because there might be a bad luck!.If you are prepared, you are confident and strong.Other way if you are prepared to be failed still it hurts the butt.Be ready to fight.Be ready to test.Be ready to love.Be ready to accept the truth!

being prepared is better than just relaying on luck. Not all the time that luck comes, and it is just very seldom that it works out that way, but when being prepared ensure ourselves that we will be successful in what we do.

Indeed that does seem to be a pretty accurate rule of thumb. There are a lot of times where people just tend to go with the flow a lot of times, which can work but most times often than does not work. There are going to be a lot of times where preparation is in fact key. It is the difference between a grand success and an epic failure. Of course, no amount of preparation in the world could shield us from a bad result at sometimes. We do kind of have to be prepared for the back that we can do what we need to do but there are going to be other forces that are going to be cutting us off. However, there are also going to be times where we just got to really brace ourselves for something. That quote does apply to many situations for sure.

I really like your last 2 sentences of the first paragraph. And it is true, that their will be times that we still fail even if we have prepared for it, but that shouldn't stop us from constantly preparing., even preparing for the consequence of eminent failure is still preparing. Happy myLotting

I definitely will agree with you 100% of it. It is indeed a simply quote, but I will definitely remember the core meaning of it. In many occasion and situations, I myself experienced the unpreparedness, and I deem to fail myself. Like the last time, a presentation to one of the customer, I didn't truly prepare for the demonstration, eventually, I and my partner had done it clumsiness, and we just doom to fail. I remember this experience well, and I will do a better job next time.

That is good that you have learned from your mistakes. They say the best learnings in life are from failures not from success, and I guess if you had not experienced this failure, you wouldn't have realized this mistake. Be prepared always my friend Merry Christmas

I love this quote myself and I first heard it when I was preparing for university application from the teacher who helped me with my university application. I find this very meaningful and this is my attitude to all my work now.

I think all should be like this. But I am sometimes very carefree about things, but end up regretting for not preparing at times. I am a happy go lucky person sometimes, but I try myself to always be prepared so that whatever comes my way, I can act accordingly

I agree with you, preparation is necessary for anything in life. Thats what I would always tell to my children regarding examinations. If they did not prepare for it, they should not expect for any good grades to receive. So I would always tell them to review and read a lot. The same applies too with cooking and even to other simple things.

I definitely agree with cooking needs preparation I have eaten several dishes with very weird tastes and it's because I encouraged my ex girlfriend to practice cooking. She was bad at it at first, but she was already good after a few weeks.

I had already encountered this quote and this is true. If we think that we are going to fail then we are really going to feel. We should be cautious with what we think because those thoughts will came true. At times when we feel like we are going to lose in a battle just be positive. Just inculcate it in our mind that, something is much better than this

Mentally, yes, being prepared to fail because of your actions. Acceptance of that failure because of your lack in preparation.

davaome hi it does make sense because is applies to all kinds of facets in our lives from the simplest to most complex from getting dressed in the morning , getting ready for work to completing complex tasks your boss may ask of you. The opera singer did not just suddenly soar to stardom, she prepared for it for years and learned her voice lessons and stage presence well. The surgeon who operated on you took years of preparation before he could snip out those inflamed appendix and make you well again. The key to sucess is preparation. The boy and girl scouts motto is be prepared.

At a young age being a scout helps us understand that motto, so that we will not prepare ourselves to fail in the future. When I was little, this motto was always in my head but never applied it, but now that I have growned up, I see how important it is to be prepared.
