Excited to see an old friend

The first company I worked for after I graduated in college gave me a lot of good friends. Sadly, most of them are hard to find now and if found we seem like total strangers. Some I found on Facebook and Friendster before. But one of them is so difficult for me to find. She doesn’t have any accounts on anything in the Internet. I’ve also learned she’d given her cellphone to her BF who went abroad. She had since no phones. I don’t know where she’s staying too and both of us became busy.
On the last months of 2009, I was so happy seeing her leaving me a message in Friendster finally.
She just created an account there and finding her friends. Since then we started communicating again. It’s gonna be 10 years that we haven’t seen each other. So we thought tomorrow will be a good day to meet, we have a lot of things to talk about. I’ve prepared a Christmas gift for her and I hope she’d like it.
So that’s what I’m gonna do on Christmas day! I'm excited about it.

Yup I know sometimes when we are looking forward to that day, it seems like day is gonna end up really soon. Good thing is she will have a sleepover. Don't know if we both can sleep since the bed is really small I might introduce her to myLot

old is gold, as the famous quotes say. but before this the main thing is that you are heading towards a friends who is losted somewhere in between the years, and you have bear the pain of being losted. the time you have spent in the solace without her is pathetic, and now see god gives their child chances to rejuvenates and revitalize. go and start some exciting venture with her.

We really are gonna enjoy seeing each other for sure. We have even chat once in a while and I called her when she's free just for us to chat about anything. It's just different when we're talking with friends personally.Thankful that God allowed us to find each other again and remain as friends even after long absence in communication

I won't be seeing any old friends this Christmas day but I'll be seeing some of my friends/office mates and I'll be staying in their boarding house tonight because early dawn tomorrow we'll be heading together to the airport. We'll be attending a wedding tomorrow and we'll be on board the first flight.
This would actually be my first Christmas to be spent with friends and I'm kinda excited. Christmas has been the same for me for a couple of years, waiting at home for my godchildren and catching up with my friends (their parents). It's nice that way but I'm a person who likes change.

That sounds fun and exciting! You'll be travelling and attend a friend's wedding. Yup my usual Christmas day too is being at home only, but this year I spent it with an old friend. A tiring day for the both of us coz after going to Church we went to a Mall and always find ourselves being in long queues. I never thought Malls will be packed with so much people.

I am a person with a lot of friends. Saying frankly sincere persons are very among them. I have wondered about a friend who was my co worker and room mate 15 years ago. We haven't met each other, after I got transfer from there, and he got another job in another state. Now he has invited me to his daughters marriage. I am planing to make it a memorable participation by reaching 2 days before.

Yes there are some friends who change, and chose not to communicate anymore. Hope soon they will talk to you. I also have some old friends who never even message me anymore but anyway, I think I'll just let it be like that and just message them still at least on facebook.

I love my friends, even if their old friends or new friends, because their still part of the chapters of my life, I cannot deny the fact that their are my friends,.no matter what I love them..

I have had so many friends in the past, that I can not find today, I understand the kind of excitment you are going through, well, by this time, you have probably met her, and I hope everything went just as you imagined. I don't care to catch up with old friends. To me they are my past and will never be part of my life again! There are reasons why. The biggist reason is some of my friends from the past used me. I rather not see or contact anyone who treated me badly while growing up! Then if there is someone I would like to stay in contact with I usually get impaient and give up to easily! I am one of the few people who doesn't seem to be married or have boyfirend or girlfriend or even kids! So I am better off not having old friends in my life. It is basicly a waste of time for me.

Oh I can understand why you don't wanna catch up with your old friends again. I would probably do the same thing if I was used by friends too. I don't think it is really worth being friends with those kinds. There are old friends of me as well whom I thought was real but I learned to be gossiping about me - which I didn't know this person was doing and only it was her ex-BF who happens to be our work colleague too told me. For me that's the end of a friendship, she called me several times before but I showed her how I am not interested in talking with her anymore.

Yes we spent the day out in the Mall, eat lunch and sip some frappe. Chat a lot. And went home as she spent the night in our house too. Hard to get a good sleep last night as we are chatting endlessly She just left today afternoon.

Christmas time is always a good time to catch up with friends.
Even my high school friends are the same. I went to a university in a different city, and Christmas time was always when we bump into each other in our small town. And then we get to plan different activities together.
This past few weeks, I even got the invitation for next years grand alumni homecoming, which is of course around Christmas time again.

I also lost a lot of old friends, lost contact and communication, even I don't have their phones number. And then, I create account on facebook......finally I met them on FB....sharing about everything....very nice to have internet connection

Yes Internet is really awesome when it comes to reuniting with old friends whom we haven't seen for a really long time. Before, once we've graduated, left a company or shift to a new place. There is no assurance that we can communicate with them again in the future. But now it's really easy especially if our friends uses Internet and social sites too.

Before meeting her, we chat a lot in facebook and she's been telling me always about how or where to find someone to love. So I gave her an inspirational book about asking God on sending a soul mate to single people. It's not only about that, it also talks about how to handle a relationship once you are in a relationship until you walk down the aisle. And I gave her a cute hanky as well, so if she cry reading that she'll have something to wipe her tears away I also wanna buy that book for myself.
We had fun at the mall, lots of crowd on Christmas day and we went to my place so tired. But we chat a lot, we slept around 2:30AM. Great catching up with an old friend

Yup! It's a nice thing to be with our old friend and have a bonding moment again. I miss the time that my classmates and good friends will no longer meet each other due to many reason. Others are now in different country and others are busy in their works...

Normally after graduation or friends leaving the company can sometimes end the friendship. They will meet new friends and some tend to forget the friends they have in the past. But good thing there are social sites like facebook and friendster before that have made it possible to talk with our old friends and classmates. Hope you all will meet again

This is exactly the area where I really have to improve on. I am not really that excited to see old time friends, except of course if these friends are really special friends who have spent quite a deal of time with me before. I am not really that social, but I do cherish friendship, only with the special ones who I regard as real friends.

I can also relate to you on that. I am not very sociable and have less friends. In fact, the many friends I've had before seems to fall into the category of "acquaintances" now... we are friends in facebook now and have been good friends before - but I have never even heard any excitement of connecting with me again nor do they leave any message or express their interest of reuniting/meeting with me again. There are only a few of them whom I can say cherished my friendship with them. And I realized that this old friend I have met on Christmas day is one of those who did treasure our friendship. So I was happy to have met her yesterday.
