Many may have different significance regarding Christmas. And they have reason to have it. The same coin has two faces. We cannot deny that may have shown solidarity towards the poor during the Christmas. Majority of those who help the poor are the middle class families and the widows. They sacrifice something even from their bare necessity and give to the poor. We cannot deny the fact that on Christmas day many are sad for many reasons. Many people starve even due to ill health and unemployment. They do not have the money to spend for Christmas. Many are lonely today. They have no one to love them. Many are helpless and no one to sustain them. Many are sick and are confined to bed or to wheel chair. Many are addicts and abuse trhis day in drinking, smoking and many other unhealthy practices. Many waste money after useless luxury. One should be conscious of his brotherly solidarity towards others. The social consciousness should move our hearts to show understanding through deeds.

I agree with you, my friend. I did not give a lot of presents to my children they have more than enough. I did make good things to eat for them though,as a token of love. But yesterday and today I will "earn" twice as much rice to donate through freerice.com. I know that rice reaches people as the site belongs to the WFP of the United Nations.

Such tender feelings of yours will be rewarded, Using deep love but wise pedagogy to rear the children or nephews that God gave you, extending your tender solidarity all thiese will be a light to your path to reach that great reward. Giving what one has, but wishing good whom you know that they need God's support, prying for those who suffer, all this is a part of celebrations. May Baby Jeus grant us that infinite peace and may He inflame our hearts. You who are a mother will perceive what it is to experience when a child loves you and now Baby Jesus

Thank you, friend. I had a nice reward yesterday, at the family party on Christmas eve. We get together, we eat together and then we hand down the presents. I explained that my presents for the bigger kids were the cupcakes, cookies and other sweet edibles. They were very well received. They all loved them and were eated quickly. It seems next year I´ll do something like that again.

Christmas is a time to be with those that you love, and try to help those that have no the same luck to have a family to take care of them,is good to volunteer in the orphanage, and give love to those children who are really in need of love, I went to an orphanage two weeks and I asked them to volunteer and I will go soon, those kids are so beautiful,I met a nice little girl and felt so sad to see how in need she was of love, Christmas is time to love and care.

There may have many meaning to Christmas to different people, some may like to give while other may love to receive. It is a time of giving for some people while is also a time where some like to spend on all the material things he /she can buy before the arrival of new year. For me, Christmas should be a time where everyone should at least try to provide some helps to those that are less fortunate than other in our society, the church and profit organization should give and provide much needed assitance to the homeless and the hungry, the poor and the disadvantage to make this holiday festival meaningful and respectful to all the people on earth.
