Don't poo poo my bells

As some of you had read I had to work Christmas Eve and a nearly 9 hr shift at that. I was not happy about such a long day on a special day. However, to have a lil fun I wore a Santa hat and even put jingle bells on my shoes like they did when I was in school. The majority thought it was cute, one lady even said..."you're giving alot of Angels their wings today" YES I AM! I go in the break room and this one lady kinda hurt my feelings and said that I wore them to annoy her/everyone. I didn't mean to annoy anyone just to have fun for one day while we are all trapped at work on a day that no one wants to be at work in the first place. I'm normally a stick in the mud so dang it let me be fun for a change even just a tiny bit!

There's a Grinch in every crowd! Usually some unhappy person who is lonely and has no real idea of the true meaning of Christmas. I love displays like that! One of the nicest things about the days leading up to Christmas is seeing the little children in the shopping carts singing Jingle Bells or about Santa, giggling and laughing with joy. I saw a few of those this year and it gladdened my heart. I love the idea of bells on your shoes! I'm glad you made the most of a rotten situation and made some people smile.

And of course everyone knew where I was all day too right? I used to put bells on my shoes as I kid, I think even in middle or high school just for fun kids would do it. And yes working a full 8hr shift on a day you'd rather be home sux, it's a day where you only want that standard 4 they give you when it's not so busy.

Ten bucks says she's jealous that everyone seems to enjoy what you did. Ten more bucks says she's very unhappy with herself. Some people just are sick of themselves they try to distract their mind by poo pooing everyone else's fun. You brought fun to people with what you did, and bah humbug to her for her being a spoilsport.

Maybe that she didn't think of it herself? I know her life isn't the best but boy.... just for one day a stick in the mud does something. She's not the happiest of people.

More power to ya! Nothing wrong with showing some Christmas spirit and trying to give others a smile. If someone doesn't appreciate it, that's fine... but I think the lady in the break room was a tad self-centered to think you did it to annoy her. Yeesh! My daughter wore a Santa hat to my sister's for dinner tonight... and across the white fur front, it says Ho Ho Ho! If she presses a little button, the words light up in red and blink. So, she entered their house wearing it and my brother-in-law said, "Hey! Nice hat... I see it's monogrammed!" We ALL had a good laugh over that, including my daughter (she's 18, by the way) You enjoy your holiday however you wish

Yeah I don't know what her deal was. It's all about having a little fun in light of the fact no one wanted to be there. Sounds like your daughter got quite the reaction! But it was a fun reaction not like what I got over my bells which were probably maybe 1in in diameter. It's not like I was wearing cow bells or something. That would of really ticked someone off! *LMAO*

I also wear a bell during the holiday season and one of my coworkers says it gives her a migraine....so I make sure I jingle it when I am around her...she is like a female scrooge! Let the bells ring girl! Tis the season!

I guess that lady just wasn't in the Christmas spirit...I thought it was a fun thing to do. We both wore our Christmas hats out yesterday

Only one other person wore a Santa hat that day. Otherwise the most you saw were people in festive sweaters and in Green or Red outfits.

Good for you for being festive and FUN at work!! Why not make working on Christmas Eve a little more FUN? That lady obviously does not know how to have FUN at work...or probably life in general. Her heart is two sizes too small, like the Grinch and she should maybe think about things before she says them. I think that she feels that because she is miserable and not in the spirit, no one else should be.

I know I'm quite impetious and say things with out thinking at times, but yeash it's not like she was a member of management or anything so other than saying something nice or not at all would of sufficed.
