well yesterday was christmas and like every holiday it is just me here cooking until exhaustion and then son and I eat. Well this year my mom bought me one of the turkeys you buy and cook frozen. I still wanted to stuff it. So she told me to cook it for about 2 hours and then put the stuffing in. I tried that and I couldn't even pry the legs apart it was still frozen. The direction on the package said the turkey should be done in three in a half hours, fat chance I had it on for 6 hours. I did get my stuffing in and the turkey was so juicy and good. I still don't understand why it took so long to cook.

A turkey you cook frozen? Hmm. Oours was very juicy and moist. We defrosted it for three days. Mmm it tasted good. I can never stuff enough stuffing in a turkey for my and my familie's liking so I bake some besides and put some of the turkey broth in it. Turns out good.

I know once the stuffing is in then it takes a bit longer to get to the correct temperature. The only other thing I can think of is that perhaps your oven is not calibrated right and was not cooking at the temperature you thought. I am glad it was a juicy and tender bird, though.

it is weird though because my stove is pretty new, it is only two years old

Then it is the oven. Mom's oven is hotter than yours. It happens. My oven runs hot. Or, did you preheat your oven?
