End of the World

There are many claims about the end of the world. I am a bit mad of them. How can they predict it? Well, personally I do not believe of them. There is no exact date about the end of the world. I believe it will take billions of years before the world ends. I know that God is only the one who can predict if when the world will end. my dear friends and fellow mylotters, what can you say about it? Do you believe that the end of the world is near?

it is a crap. those who announce the end of the world just wanted a slice of our attention. and we know it. i do not give a damn to this thing. as believers, we know that the judgement day only depends on the hands of God. no one else. and i trust my fate to Him.

Oddly, the Bible says there will be predictions of the end by false prophets. It's just another example the Bible is completely accurate.

This claim is just another conception from an author's mind to confused others and to gain popularity. Only God knows what will happen and nobody can predict it.

You are correct when you stated that only God knows when the end of this world will be. It may be billions of years from now, or it may be tonight. Jesus said that only the Father knows.

I actually tend to find a lot of humor in all of the doomsayers that have been popping up over the last several years. With that said, I don't think that it is possible for a human being to be able to tell when the end of the world is going to happen. The reason that I feel that way is because of the fact that I know that humans came from something that is much greater than us and it will only be that which will be able to end the world.

The predictions are often based on Nostradamus' predictions that the end of the world is 2012, which also came from the Incas. A lot of people have picked up on this and accepted it as facts. However when sticking to exact dates a lot of Nostradamus' predictions have not been correct. When it comes to the Bible however I agree with you that no man know the day or the hour, but it does seem we are experiencing the signs of the end times or birth pangs as mentioned in Revelation and other parts of the Bible. Then if you look at science, it does seem our environmental resources are being depleted at a fast unsustainable rate.

This coming year 2012, this is supposed to be the big one! This is the year that something is supposed to happen although I am rather sceptical about that. I think there have been end of world predictions from the beginning of time. None of the dates have been accurate and I suppose Nostradamus mentioned a lot of things in relation to the end of the world. There's no doubt that the world will eventually come to an end but I don't think it's going to be within my life time. It's a well known fact that the sun will become a red giant and will then die and the world and everything that we know will be incinerated. Aside from that if I remember correctly I believe that the 21st of December 2012 is supposed to be a key date; something about the alignment of the planets. Only time will tell whether the world ends on that date but I don't believe that it will. I think the world will go on for many thousands of years. Andrew

No one can predict the end of the world but God! So many people fall for someone who perdicts the world ending! That happen twice this year by a man who said he knew the world was ending! Well I think this guy has egg on his face now and being laughed at for being so dumb! When God says it is time it will happen! Until then we need to stop worring about it!

God doesn't "predict" the end of the world, he knows it. I believe that no one can give a date for the end of the world, not even an approximation. All those claims arose from the Mayan prophecy. The Mayans have predicted the end of the world in their calender. Their calender proved to be very precise and accurate and included lunar, solar as well as other calenders. Lots of research had been done on this, and to this point some scientists believe in it and some don't. I have watched lots of documentaries and done lots of research on this matter. Some people prove the Mayans were wrong simply because they couldn't their own end. Some geologists claim that the calender didn't point to the end of the world, but to the beginning of a new, more peaceful world. That provided some evidence to this matter, but ofcourse no one can be sure what is the truth since they are predicting what the statues and engravings really mean. Whether it means the beginning of a more peaceful world or the complete end and doom of ours, I don't think we should believe it. The Mayans were very good at predicting lots of things, but I don't think anyone is good enough to predict the end of the world. One thing I would like to note is that the entire universe was there for about 15 billion years, and our galaxy for several million years. Our galaxy is not going to be there for billions of years as the sun will die long before that.

I don't care with their predictions. Just let them predict and predict until they get tired of it. The world will only end when we don't stop abusing the use of the nature and we continue to destroy our surroundings. God provided us all the our needs. It is already all here. After we use it, we should replace it. Learn to recycle, reuse and restore to save the earth.

Seriously, every one is talking about such stuff, but no body knows whats going to happen. we individuals are nobody to decide or think about such things, we do not know what is going to happen tomorrow to us, so what can we say about the whole world.

Considering the fact that there are a number of things with potential to wipe out the earth at any given time (thank you, Exit Mundi), I'm not too concerned with when the world will end - whether it be today, tomorrow, or years upon years from now. I'd much rather it happen after I've kicked the bucket, though. There's no way to tell when the world will end and if it's near or not, so I don't find much reason to fret over it.

No one will ever know when the Earth will be destroyed or vanished. Only god (if you believe in god ofcourse), but mankind will never know it.

Of course there isn't gonna be "the end of the world". It's just silly thinking about it. :D In the past, there were many simillar storys about the end of the world, like the sun exploding in 2006. Concluding, the news about the end of the world is just a tool a grab one's atention, noting more. ;)

Yes it is. No one can predict or know the end of the world. I don't know what to say, but I believe in God and He will let us know when the end of the world take place. There is so many predictions of the end of the world. We only need to know who is right or wrong.

hello, No, I dont believed in that because there is a news as I can remember it is the year of 2000 when they predict that world will end in that year but what happened? Nothing. right? You just have to keep your faith in God. If there are things happened to us it is also our fault and not God. We should not blame anybody but our self if something happened to us. I have faith in God, so that i dont believe in anybody but to him.

Is this still going on? I thought the idea of the world ending next year was over by now, I thought everyone aren't interested anymore! But who knows, lets just wait until it's the 1st of January and see if anything happens which I doubt anything will. I don't get how people just make up these random predictions. Some people are so fearful about it that they're spending on their money now and doing everything before they die but clearly nothing is going to happen. I guess it's all about the media and popularity, some people just want to make a big deal out of something really small and then involve everyone. They just want to make people scared. Are you scared? I think it's all a kid's practical joke. Who knows when the sun is going to blow up or if something is going to hit us. If it is going to happen, it will maybe like hundreds of years later, million? Billion years? It's funny when people become fearful, that's when they begin to realize all their mistakes and repent for all their sins. They never went to church before but now after finding out that their life might be ending, that's when they suddenly become religious. I guess fear makes people take desperate measures. But really, the world is not going to end.

I only have one thing to say... everything comes with an expiry date. I know we cannot predict the end of the world but there will be an end. When? no one knows... Personally I dont want the world to come to an end as I still hav to get Married and start a family.

I don't think so. I realize that 2012 is supposed to be the end of the world... but so was the year 2000. I guess it will happen when it happens. There's really no way to prepare for it except through space travel, in case we need to evacuate the planet.
