Hello I was interested in the opinion of other members about the music nowadays. What are the good and bad sides of the music they make now? I cant see any good sides by singers like : Wiz Khalifa, Chris Brown, (Guy from Dynamite, forget the name) and many more. One fact is that I don't like the music they make, but I always will give them a chance. I like the song Umbrella of Rihanna, but that is only one song. So question to you guys/gals? What are the good and bad sides of nowadays music?

Music nowadays are really good , (but it depends on you because we don't have the same type of genre in music), it makes you to "party all night long", etc. But the bad side of it, sometimes we don't tend to scan the lyrics of the certain song because it is covered always with "FUN" stuffs. One concrete example is "Peacock by Katty Perry" the song is not for "Peacock", you know what I mean .. :)

All those songs doesn't have any meaning into them. That is really sad I think personally. And I know what you are saying, haha :p

Singer from another era? - Yes...this flash-looking guy was singing long before the internet, MP3s, i-pods and so on became generally available.
I will agree with you about "Umbrella" by Rihanna; it's got a great melody. For me, the best thing about modern music is not the more commercial side...the Pop; the Dance and so on, although having said that, some of it is good. No; the best thing for me is that if a person looks hard enough, they will discover a wealth of great music; in all fields of Indie and Alternative music; and the Singer-Songwriter genre. Great music is still being made in the 2010s, although perhaps with less of the ballyhoo of previous eras. Yet some artists continue to generate international attention. But there is so much music available today...especially on the internet, that it's harder for musicians to distinguish themselves than at a time people were ravenous for non-stop novelty and entertainment...and yet were able to receive it only through television; radio; and buying records, cassettes, CDs in stores.

You got a point about searching for bands. Many people just don't search for it because they think the mainstream music is the best and nothing else compare. But when they search deeper they will find great bands or singers who is trying to climb the top. For example the band Young The Giant. That band is awesome good. But they have no chance in the music indusry now. (I hope they will reach the top!)

I think music is one of those things that just depends on the taste of the listener, we are all different and like different music, there is no good or bad just people who have different preferences..

Hi.. The bad side is that its too hard to listen the voice of the singer as the instruments jerks more than voice and good side is the new singers are mixing musics like western + eastern, folk + classical, hiphop + jazz and so on. have a nice time.

The beat is louder then the voice and it really annoys me, because I need the lyrics of the song if ai want to follow the words. And I agree with the fact of mixing genres. Sometimes it works out, but most the time not if you are asking me.

I tend to selective when it comes to mainstream music, because generally it's generic noise piped through the airwaves. I unfortunately am more of a Metal, Jazz, Rock N' Roll, old school R&B, Funk, and classical music guy... Anything to get my creativity flowing really... It's a weird tick I have.
