It came to my surprise, the IT department supervisor was leaving today, which she found a new job somewhere else. It came as a shock to me, and she was a very nice lady. I didn't really have a chance to buy her a gift, and all I can said just "good luck" and "keep in touch". I learned from her a lot, and hopefully she will find the job she likes to do. A week ago, another co - worker also left, she wants to go back to school and earn a master degree on Chemistry. I understood that lately, people are switching job more often since the economy is picking up its step toward recovery. It came to me to work with someone for while, it was hard to see them leave, but we all looking toward something better in the future, aren't we?

Yes. I think we all are looking to better ourselves one way or another. I hated to see a good worker go also, who was very friendly too.

It is like, one always want to look out for new opertunities and then its the pay packet which matters the most to workers. Some times the employers and managers could be rude and cold hearted even then they leave and search for some thing new and exciting with some thing regard worthy and money in it.

One thing companies need to do more I feel is staff retention. They often put a lot of time training someone for their position and making sure they are a perfect match so why let them go. People will leave a job only if there is a valid reason to such as a lack of job growth or perhaps salary etc. I know at my company we have a huge loss of entry level people. Does this mean there is a chance of internal growth at the company for you with this loss?

I am one of them and I am thinking of leaving my job soon. Just seeking for a better salary because sometimes salary and the work you do, do not go together. I am currently doing 3 IT jobs and getting a one salary job. I have a family to support so I'm quiting in order to support my family
