hi guys.. Have you ever felt the excitement because of your birthday? I will be turning 30 this January and I don't know how will I feel.. Before when I was your I always get that feeling of so much excitement because I know I will receive many gifts and all of my friends are coming..
But now, I don't know its just I feel nervous because of what life can offer me knowing that I am already 30 years old.. I feel I will somehow miss the great opportunity in life.. Specially when it comes to work or even finding work.
How about you guys..Does your birthday really affects your feelings?

Dear emdjay. Tell me the date and I will send you a birthday card. Age is just a number. yesterday is nothing but history. Today is the foundation of the future. Put dots on the graph of your past thirty years and admire the hills and valleys that it creates. Then use your position as of today to map the future - for the future is in your hands. I guess the Patron Saint of the impossible is ST. JUDE? am I right? I never forget to say my prayers everyday and even every minute.. I am always thankful for the life that He gave me.. To think that my birthday is the same as Jesus Nazarene.. and every January 9th is the feast of Black Nazarene here in the Philippines..

Wow! +++++ That was fast. I have diarised to send you a birthday card. I will also say a prayer for your Mom's recovery. We have a Lady who plays and miracles happen. Her Name is Mary. All you need to say is "Hail Mary, full of grace, pray for the full and quick recovery of my Mom" and....Viola!!! there is your miracle. keep repeating the player as many times as possible. I turned 60 in Novemember and didn't feel much excitement. When I have something planned I feel some but not otherwise. Happy birthday to you. Hope it is a good day.

I am usually pretty happy on my birthdays. The place I work gives us a day off with pay for our birthdays and I really like that.
As far as the emotional connection to my birthdays, it hasn't bothered me so far. I thought it might at 30 but to be honest, things have been better for me in my 30's than they have any other time in my life. I am very content and birthdays are ok with me. They do seem to come for me faster and faster..but they don't bring sadness when they come.

It could somehow affect someone's feeling. I think it is not only about how one will celebrate it but also how will one face new challenges in life. In my case, I feel the pressure of achieving something or doing something sensible all throughout the years. Advance Happy Birthday!

I am one of those funny people who hate birthdays, I guess it all stems from a big disappointment when I was young so I never look forward to my birthdays, I never celebrate it but I do love making a fuss for other people on their birthdays that love having them.

I celebrate my birthday and also all my loved ones´ birthdays. Life is beautiful, even at it´s worth. It should be seen as a miracle and as such, remember the day we came into being.

Who says birthdays are important? If it is so, why did not the early Christians celebrate their respective birth? Do you know that in the Bible, the pagan rulers were the ones celebrating their birthdays?
Seek the kingdom of God on earth and His righteousness and He will add up everything. Don't be satisfied with what your parents and priests are telling you. Read the Bible and discover His Words.

You can still be excited, even if you turn 30 in January. I am 21 years past your mark, and I still get excited.
Do not become a product of your circumstances, but let your circumstances become a product of your will. I am not talking positive thinking (although that is important). What you need to do, is to find out what you enjoy in life. What are you passionate about. What would you be willing to do, even if you don't get paid for it. If you can find your passion, and find a job that involves your passion, or maybe even start your own business, you would not have to be concerned about your "work" another day. Focus on these things and forget about "getting older", just enjoy life, you only have one, you might as well enjoy it.

wow.. what a very inspirational advice..Sometimes its really hard for me because maybe I was just afraid of unnecessary things that will come my way.. I really just want to enjoy whatever God gave me, I enjoy my life much but I know sooner or later life will be tougher for me because of more responsibility in life. All I wanted is to have a successful life ahead and want to share it with my love ones..
