2012: How Did You B/Ring in the New Year?

I heard a lot of parties in my small-town neighborhood. Fireworks too, and I could swear I heard gunfire. It probably was since local PD and fire department came out and about. In any case, I was home alone at midnight. So what did I do? I prayed into the year of 2012. Yeah I did. Then I read the first chapter of Genesis. Then I thought of getting on my treadmill but I watched a movie with Christian actor Eric Close. Yep, I am such a rebel! Let's hear your story?

You did well. I was just laying my head down to rest when I heard everything going off. I had worked a twelve hour day and had another one scheduled today. Needed some sleep.

Those twelve hour days are only on my weekend that I work. It lets me gain a day off in the week and still get full time pay.

I spent the evening do what I usually do. i want the ball fall in Time Square on tv and then watched some fireworks that were set off in my town from my window. It was quiet and enjoyable.

Hehehe. I made it a point not the watch the ball anymore. Haven't seen it come down for years. It's so anti-climatic because it always comes down three hours too early.

I mainly worked on my computer all night long. I also got some things done around the house.

Happy New Year to you, gtargirl. I rang in the new year with friends and family. My closest friend hosted a dinner for several friends, including our kids. It was a beautiful evening playing games, laughing and telling stories and then singing in the New Year as we watched the ball drop in NYC. The kids played together so well and the adults were an awesome mix of friends and family. I really don't like to be out on the roads driving home after New Years but my friend lives less than a mile away with only neighborhood streets to drive. A peaceful, lovely way to bring in the year. I teared up as my son proclaimed in the car ride home, "that was so fun".

Oh that sounds soooo cool. If I was to celebrate that would be the way to do it. And looks like it's something your son will remember fondly.
