Well, can this happen in India? In Australiya, there two types of cricket being played, domestic cricket league(KFC big bash & Ind vs Aus test cricket). an you imagine in India... IPL along with an International test series? I don't think so.

well sanuanu, people of Australia watch KFC big bash as keenly as India vs Australia test match. So, these tournaments earn revenue for Australian cricket board. Whereas in India how many people watch Ranji Trophy match in stadium, not many in my view. Recently I watched an Ranji match on neo sports and the stands of the stadium were empty. This is the reason why IPL became famous. If IPL is played with local Indian players then those matches too will not be watched by us. We look for a Sachin or Sehwag or Chris Gayle. So, that is why IPL is famous. If Ranji Trophy is made like English county cricket then it would be fun. If foreign domestic players play for India domestic teams then interest might come but in this way the prospects of India players will spoil. So, all BCCI has to look is make sporting pitches. In this way India will find good bowlers and batsmen.

I think it happens all the time in India as well. Only that it is not IPL and international test series. But Ranji and Test series. This has been happening for quite some time. Cheers! Ram

It fully impossible to have an intenational match and ipl both at same time in INDIA. And more worst part of it is that, a test macth no boy never. People of INDIA are crazy of cricket but not of real cricket where the potential of player is get tested but of those high fi cricket with alots of drama and everything else except cricket is played. More BCC is a bussines owner who have just faith in making money from people but don't think about the cricket not the players. So they would not take such a risk. Player are also stupid they will not prefer to play for thier country rather opt for IPL team. Money is everhting that shows in IPL. Guess this question is out of thinking from them.

As you said it'll not happen in India. IPL will crawl all crowd from India and so the stadium in which international test match takes will look empty.

I think IPL is gonna drown any other international matches if both of them are held at the same time in India...Mainly because most players will tend to play for the ipl teams rather than their international teams because the former pays them better... Besides IPL is of a higher entertainment value and I am sure that BCCI is surely gonna get advantage of that...Maybe they could keep game 2 months after the IPL matches...
