What kind of jobs are out there? Have you got a new job? What kind did you get?

We have been told that there are now more jobs in the economy and that the unemployment rate is going down... Yet there are questions about the kinds of jobs that are being added and if they have full-time hours, pay good wages, and have benefits... I am wanting to find out how it is for people here at mylot.com. If you have been looking at jobs offered in your area, what kind of jobs have you been seeing offered? If you have gotten a new job, was it full-time, with good wages, and with benefits? Or was it like my job, contract, part-time with no benefits?

In fact, there are many kinds of job in this city. You can do anything to earn for life. But it's difficult to look for a good job. Because all bosses sought to avoid the law benefits for employees.

It does seems that more and more bosses are going contract to avoid benefits and to avoid providing benefits for their employees... It is not a good thing for their employees yet the bosses benefit from it.

Living in a busy city I find there are lots of jobs available and of all kinds.. you can choose from a part time or full time, day jobs or night jobs.. but most of them depends upon the experience and qualification.. I have recently got a new full time job that I liked and with good salary..

The best jobs was something that fit to you, what was your background then find that fit with it. If you have an ability, better if you create the job not seek for the jobs. I believe that your country's educations system have been set to create a job not to find a job.Not like my country, thats why too many unemployee in here.

It seems like there are many people now days trying to fill jobs that are already listed... And many people who are not able to create the job that they want as the conditions don't appear right for it or because they are just too afraid and inexperienced and don't know where to start. It seems that unemployment is a world wide thing now... I am hoping that 2012 brings many more opportunities for employment for everyone and good jobs for all.

Well, a lot of times it really depends on what a person is looking for. People need to be willing to accept a lower pay sometimes in order to get a job that they sometimes want. I know the company I work for sees a lot of turn over. Sometimes more than others just because people do not like the job. It is lower paying, but the benefits are actually better than most places out there, so you need to take the two and decide. But when looking for work, you have to be able to Sell yourself. Determine what your skills are and sell them. There is still a fight for the better type of job, but if you are persistant maybe something Great can come your way.

Thanks for counseling about persistence as that is a great thing to recommend in this times. It is indeed necessary to present yourself well and to do a good skills inventory and to know your own strengths and weaknesses and to market yourself accordingly. Thanks for also mentioning the need to consider benefits when looking at wages as those benefits packages do make many lower paying jobs more easy to bear especially for those who need the benefits. Wish you and all people here something great!

here in canada, the government has been boasting that they have created a great number of new jobs. well these jobs are either part time or at minimum wage which no single person can live on. i imagine things are not that different in the US.
