Hi, mylotters. I like to take a nap in these recent days. I feel fresher and less tires after doing it, so I can work better. Moreover, I have read some articles which said that take a nap will make our intelligent and concentration higher after it. But I often get bad dream while taking a nap. I don't know why I got that bad dream, but it make me feel scared. So, what should I do? Shouldn't take a nap? How to eliminate this bad dream? Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day for you all.

I think your bad dream has something to do with your worries or fear. Have you been worried about something recently? I said that because I experienced it when I was very worried about something. You can be freed of bad dream if you have nothing to be afraid of. Some people are afraid of dying when they suffer from a disease. The disease will get worse if you are overwhelmed with fear. The more you are afraid, the more quickly the disease becomes worse.

I get nightmares very frequently and most of the time a same nightmare. I see like a lion is chasing me and I am running for my life. It is said that there is a reason for every nightmare but till date I can not find OUT the reason for that particular nightmare which I used to have again and again. It haunts me in dream and I wake up getting scared. Every time I have that dream I just can not concentrate that day in my work. I also get a bad mood for almost whole of the day.

I'm so sad heard it. As said by those above and I have felt before, dream has connection with our unconscious mind that trying to remind us about something important that should be done on our life. In my past experience about continual nightmare, it was related with my hatred feeling that hasn't released yet, which influence my mind. So, i'm trying to let it go and not for long time I didn't have it again.

Hi areskya Dreams are mainly the result of our thoughts. Things we think about lot are more likely to occur in our dreams. However, these thoughts are mainly belonging to our sub conscious, meaning that we cannot control them. So don't bother about these nightmares, and obviously you shouldn't avoid taking a nap because of them. See these nightmares in a different way. Look at it as an adventure or be relieved that it was just a dream. Hope i helped.

It helps me,friend. I see it on other view now, i try to know more about myself unconscious feeling and intention. Further, as you say it could be as an adventure. By they way, don't you ever feel so afraid on your nightmare? What would you do on that situation?

Hi, there. We have the same problem. I also try hard to do as you say, clean myself head to toe first before going to bed and keep praying before going to sleep. It helps me more. If I feel relax both body and mind, it will reduce the night mare

Hello my friend areskya, maybe you are not getting used of that time to take a nap. Sometimes, when we forced ourselves to take a nap just to have our mind refreshed or taking a nap that are not on our body clock we experienced bad dreams. For example, when your mind is still active which you still need to do some mind workouts but your body is quite tired then you want to sleep, you have this feeling that your mind explodes or having scary images in your mind. It is because your body and mind don't channel (connect) properly. Before you want to take a nap, you need to take a break for your body warm up or do some light exercises. I do this when I want to take a nap because I experienced this before several times.

Hi, Flashpointer my friend. It could be the reason of mine that makes me feel so. actually, I had to work almost full day so I seldom take a nap several weeks before I's sick. But after Im getting sick, I could stay at home without doing anything include taking a nap regularly everyday. Thanks for your reasonable experience

I think that your nightmare might be phsycosomatic. What i mean by that?Maybe your stress and tireness expressed through dreams and nightmares. You should consult and talk to a phsycologist. I do not think that is something serious but you might find a good answer for your problem.

Thanks, parascevi. It is really good answer. But I live in the remote area so there is no psychologist around my place. The only solution is by talking it with my family and best friend who are wiser and have broad knowledge.

Hey! I have heard that dreams often have meanings or interpretations. Are the dreams you are getting different or is it the same dream for every nap? If it is the same or recurrent try searching for it's interpretation in the internet or a dream book. If it is different or just random bad things or nightmare, I am guessing it must be stress or pent up emotions or fears. My advise for that would be to let it out. Express your pent up emotions. I also suggest that you share your dreams to your friends or family. Maybe by sharing it your mind would finally let go of it.

In my personal experience, i usually had a bad dream if my backbone was bent when i sleep, so when i wake up i feel pain in my back. If i set up my body straight so my backbone doesn't bent i never had a bad dream. Maybe in my case the bad dream is actually the way our body tell us that the way we sleep could harm our body. If you experience some discomfort after sleeping maybe the way you sleep that cause your bad dream, or maybe something else.

It could be my reason having the bad dream cos I also have backbone problems after getting up. But what should I do cos I enjoy my sleeping in this position of bending

Don't think about it because it will just make you go crazy. Don't also stop taking a nap. It is good for the body so you can rest for a while. Dreams are just a result of your mind's imagination.
