I lost my appetite :(

food - Ha this is not my favourite one but I can cook it.

I don't know why but in the last three days I don't eat like usual. It is holiday and I am alone in my boarding house, I just don't want to move my body to reach the food. I am not in a good mood to swallow the food, I don't even touch my favourite food. I just drink more and keep reading, watching movies or surfing in the internet. When I am hungry I just get myself a glass of mineral water, tea or milk. Am I okay ? What should I do ? Any advice ? I don't want to lose my weight, I am already skinny.

It is a very delicious goat/ meat dish. No, it is different. It is more delicious than Tongseng. The taste are delicious, salty, sweet and rather spicy. :) You have to try it.

My favourite food is Krengsen Daging. But I don't want it right now :( I better to stay here surfing in myLot than eat them. Yes I've been very lazy lately but I'll be okay :) I've done all my homework so I have nothing to be worry. Love ? No more, I am single and I enjoy it.

well...how if you replace me because i'm in the great desire to eat everything hahaha lol. i get hungry easily and eat more food than ever. that's why my weight is increasing. if you said that you are thin enough, then don't make it worst to your health. eat some fruits or chocolate. try some cookies maybe. the point is keep trying to swallow something if you don't want to get sick :P

I've invited them but they prefer to study together because we'll have examination next week x___________x And I am not in a mood to study :D. Yesterday I went to a street market and bought some cakes, I think my appetite is back :) I am doing good.

Ahah I'd be glad to replace you if it's possible :D. I am easy to lose weight but difficult to gain weight :/. I did try to eat and rest more but it did not help that much to add my weight :/. I know, I did not mean to get sick. I was just too lazy with anything. Swallowing sometime make my mouth tired :D lol.

why don't you go with friends somewhere? just make some fun activities not only stay in your room.... then do culinary tourism with them. trying some food that you've never tasted before... it will be fun :)

Lack of appetite, will disturb your health. Maybe you can try a fresh and spicy foods. I usually eat soup. Or maybe you eat at a place to eat, that you like.

You don't have the appetite to eat because you are preoccupied with the things that you are doing. And another is because you are alone in the boarding house with no one to share some stories while eating, which makes eating enjoyable. You might as well do some exercise that will tire you and after the exercise, your appetite will be back.

Hello Zaahro, about not having appetite, well i guess for me it comes in handy once a while and it does good to the body when you take a lot of fluid. I am of the school of thought that your body is just self cleansing itself, which i know is very key to a healthy life But a very good advice, you should prolong this more than a week. And the good thing is that your are not doing any energy zapping job, so you are still in order...

My friend is in my cell and my friend likes to live too. We sit together and talk sometimes and sometimes we get busy and make things happen. It is our activity my friend and me enjoy and we do this until one of us says, "I am hungry!" Then I say let us you and me go and eat and play and enjoy what we do with every bite. My cell, my friend and me we live a life because we do stuff.

Yes our meal is a meal of friendship and I would like to prepare something for our pallet. I was just sharing zaahro A poetic style if this be permitted and not too corny we can laugh and eat to our delight I was simply trying to express that our bodies need food to work and eventually they will tell us what they need. My little brainy cells ask sometimes but really it is all the big brawny muscle cells that really tell me loudly. We are in this place together you and me and all our friends find their way too :-)

Ahah I get it now. Yeah that's right.. but when I lost my appetite, it's really hard even to force myself. My feet feel like using a pair of heavy shoes when I walk to get the foods. At least I am hungry and will be glad to eat, and the fooods taste more delicious when I am hungry :D lol

I don't know if it works for everybody. But for me i get my appetite back by watching the food channel. I don't know why but i cant control myself after seeing the tasty food.

I'm the same after having this discussion I had to get something to eat. It is early for me so some breakfast was ok, I enjoyed it. People say we are what we eat, well maybe we are what we think.

Bluedoll _ It is nice to get hungry. But my stomatch's alarm doesn't work well. Sometime it forgets to remind me with the meals. We are what we eat ? So I am a goat right now lol, I just ate SATE KAMBING, maybe you know what is sate. Kambing is goat and sate is satay. Goat satay is made from goat meat that stabbed, baked and seasoned then we smear it with peanuts sauce. :) I am in the last one... we are what we think :)

You are probably just too distracted by the things that you are doing to think about food. If you still want to nourish yourself, you could try eating in small but frequent servings. Finger foods may be better off as well. Take care of yourself. As you said you are already skinny. You may be depriving yourself of adequate nourishment. If you feel any other symptoms like nausea, or dizziness, or anything unusual, you might wanna be seen by a doctor.

Hi theresaaiza, yeah I think so. Now I've fed myself and I feel better. I don't feel dizzy anymore. I'll try not to forget my meal because I don't want to lose my weight. So far I am good, so I don't need to see my doctor :) Happy mylotting.

I'm not a doctor but I feel that isn't healthy for you. I've been told that a although a loss in appetite may be due to a lot of reasons, including just plain moods, it can also be a symptom of some illness starting to set in. Aside from that, it could also have some bad effects on you. You just have to force yourself to eat something. And consult also a doctor if you have time.

Maybe you should consult a doctor if this is not your normal eating habit. If you like smoothies, you can make them. Just like what you said in one of your replies, you want to take vitamins to help you get your appetite back. That is one of the best things you can do to help you in your goal.

Hello Franne32 :) I love your avatar (: Yes it is not my eating habit, but I don't want to see the doctor today. I am sure I'll be okay after eating three cups of ice cream :D and I'll start with some fresh food. Usually the vitamins work after three days I consume them.

Now this may be usual and you do not need to worry about your appetite.Sometimes we just need to go out and breathe the fresh air.Maybe you just need to exercise and give yourself a break.I always feel so even i stay at home.It's ok,lol and really do not need to worry.Have a nice day.

Untill you will yourself to reach fod and make it eat them i think no one can help you not even docotors. Is something that eating your mind. I mean if you have some problem in your life which cause you not to get thete and you don't eat. I belive there is some tension in your mind that ead to loss of appetite. If you thros that it would be help ful to you. If you remembering some dear one then call phone him or her and feel relive then you will start eating. If problem continie go for docotor. First thimg is to rise with you will power and stop been lazy. It will work fine.

MAybe it's because I am alone in my boarding house, I don't like to eat alone :( Okay that's a good idea I'll try to call my father, hope I'll get a good news about him :)) I don't want to see the doctor :( no I don't like to take pills :(

I think its because when you don't move, you don't get hungry and have no mood to eat. But then i feel that you should actually get yourself some food despite the fact that you are not hungry. Just eat for the sake of eating, or else you will become anorexic. Just take good care of yourself so that your parents won't be worry as you are staying in boarding school. =)

Hi Jeslin :) Yeah I think so, I have more energy but doing nothing. I've ate some sweets and spicey foods and they seem help to get my appetite back. Yes, thank you for remind me about my parents :( I won't be lazy to feed myself anymore (as long as I can) but I am still lazy to do house work :D

Hi There could be many reason for the loss of your appetite .The best way to get back your appetite is eating some raw fruits ,preferably banana or pomegranate.If you are acidic please have one tab of RANTAC 150 before you eat, do not exceed more than one tab. You can also try drinking warm water mixed with honey a few times.Avoid excess tea or coffee. I hope you will get back your appetite. BON APPETITE.

hi zaahro get out and get among people.You are depressing yourself by being alone in a boarding house in the holidays. go see a friend or go to a movie. once you have undepressed yourself you will feel hungry. just eat your favorite foods, do not think about the holiday but talk to other people.being alone is what lost your appetite. stop in at your favorite ice cream shop and have a big bowl of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream with chocolate syrup on it. You will eat and you may gain weight,also you will not feel depressed either.if you are too lazy go to the store buy favorite ice cream and treat yourself and lay on the chocolate syrup. lol lol lol

Comments like these perhaps should be outlawed because they are so provocative, tempting and delicious and making me much too hungry.! Sure sounds great go out to eat, you are buying or if not lets just hit the refrigerator? It will be fun but later on we will find out there is gain of ten pounds on the weigh scales and that will be depressing for sure! Oh sorry, this topic is for zaahro’s appetite not mine. Yes, did you ever take vanilla ice cream and pour a whole bunch of corn syrup over it then watch your favorite TV show. The syrup sticks to the spoon and hangs down in strings and sticks around your mouth and then you have to slowly lick all around to capture the sticky substance. Oh, I’m in heaven and think I like watching the mound of ice cream curled up in my warm blanket more than what is on the screen.

That Hatley made me crazy sweet tooth hungry. It is much better to have fruit. And perhaps it should be a bowl with fruit, fruit is so good for us with just a little ice cream for extra on top. I am really sorry but I don't get excited with kiwi. Could it be that I am not getting fresh ones? I like things like apple, pear, peaches and berry. My favorite berry is __________ what you think eh? Come on it shouldn't be hard. I like that your appetite is back.

I think my appetite is back :). Slow but true :D. I just got home from jogging and I feel fresh :). Bluedoll_ ohh poor fridge :D. Vanilla ice cream and corn syrup ? That's odd, I am not sure but I prefer vanilla ice cream and kiwi fruit as the topping :). you have a good imagination :D.

i do get that like once in a while too. My friends also said that i'm very skinny. But it seems like every once a while my body seems to not want to eat food and i'm quite lazy as well. However, this feeling does not last. I love food and love to eat as well. However, i just can't explain it. It just that sometimes food don't seem to be appealing to me. This happens like once every few months and it usually last for a few days. After that few days, it'll be back to normal again.

Why not take vitamins or any food supplements that will enhance your eagerness to eat food. Being alone sometimes is one of the reasons why you have lost your appetite.And being busy is another one because your mind is pre-occupied by a lot of things that you tend to forget that its time for you to eat.

Dear Zaahro It's such a good thing happening to you. Some people has such big appetite that they overeat and become obese. Thank God for that. But if you are in no mood to chew why don't you take health drinks which should contain the necessary food essentials. Fat or thin does not matter much. I even need to do lots effort to gain more weight, but the problem is sometimes I lose my appetite. :( Yes I always have health drinks and fruit. I'll keep my health, ok. Thank you for your advice :)
