the movie bourne identity is filming some scenes 2 days back. it is not that near actually. i still need about a minute ride but it is not that far. but i am not excited at all to see or witness the filiming of the movie. it was filmed on the street with sidewalk vendors on the street saying that they didn't like it all as they were not allowed to do their usual business because of the filming. and they lose the opportunity to sell on the side walk. so it is big lose for them to earn some money for that day.

I think there will be benefits of having the movie being shot here in the Philippines. Aside from the fact that it will be shown in the movie, it will also boost the number of foreigners who will come in the Philippines too. Unfortunately it will be bothersome for those who are selling in the sidewalk. They just have to transfer to another area so that their business will still be going on.

You're right! It boosts the country's tourism. I hope that more tourists will be coming here in the Philippines after this movie will be released. I'm hoping also that the vendors were be able to understand and not only after of the income that they lost but thinking for the benefit of the Filipino society at large.

I think they're shooting it for 45 days. I hope the movie's good since I'm a great fan of the Bourne series, even before they made them into a movie. Yeah, I heard in the news that some of the vendors are complaining and even wanting to get paid by the producers for the potential income they'll lose while the film is being shot. I differ a bit from your sentiments on this. I understand their feelings about their loss of earnings, but I guess I'm not that fond of street vendors since they aren't actually paying taxes. I sympathize more on those minimum wage earners who labor all day and get that measly amount of pay taxed.

I am a Filipino also and I'm residing in Cebu which is now ready for the Sinulog. I think these vendors do not have any permit to sell in the sidewalks. If they have, they can ask from their respective Barangays or Cities to communicate with the organizers of the film. Maybe an agreement could be done which is more favorable to these vendors. I'm proud to be a Filipino.
