I usually give folks 3-5 days to pay then raise a case with eBay. They'll recontact the buyer and, after 7 days, cancel the sale and credit your account with any sales fees they took.

so if the buyer doesn't pay, the staff of ebay contacts him automatically?

Uhm, I think he didn't serious to have a transaction with you.. There's nothing we can do with that kind of buyer.. and of course, never ship any goods until the payment are complete.. Just ignore him and I wish you got another buyers :). Or maybe we should take the positive thinking way: maybe he was too busy that he can't contact you yet. If he really needs the stuff, he will surely get back to you soon. Just wait, but never expect too much..

yes, i didn't ship the object to him, and i won't do it until i don't receive the payment. i can also ignore it, but i must pay the ebay fees the same, even if i don't receive the payment. what could i do to avoid this?

wmaths I have never sent anything to anyone on ebay but have bought stuff and the seller made me wait until my debit card cleared then sent it. I think in your case I would contact ebay admins. and ask him or her what to do to get your payment. they were most helpful to me I know.

Send him an invoice, and go from there. Always wait for the payment to go through before sending out the item, as that will just end poorly. I think you can cancel the transaction or report him to eBay if he still doesn't pay (AND LEAVE SUPER NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!!), and hopefully put another auction up where your bidder actually pays you..*sigh*....Some people...
