Finding old friends on facebook

I never intend to find old friends through facebook, but luckily I found one, my long lost grade school friend whom I lost contact with for almost 10 years. Indeed social networking sites can be used as one of the tools in finding long lost family and friends.

I used to do that when there is still Friendster. With facebook, most of them are now on my list so there is no need for me in finding. 'Though there were still a lot of the old freinds and classmates that I still haven';t find on Facebook. I quit searching. The one that I notice enjoying it much is my mom. Now, she used to talk about our old neighbors and her batchmates. She says she can't believe she will still be able to connect with them again coz she hasn't seen there for a long time.

It is not so easy for me to find my old friends from Facebook. Since Facebook is blocked in my country. I have to use a software so that I can access to it. However, not many of my friends know how to do it. But I did find few of my friends who went abroad. However, it seems that they are not so active in Facebook. I left a message to one friend but I haven't heard from her reply yet. I love China

Facebook has been an awesome way for me to reconnect with people. I found lots of friends I hadn't talked to in 10 years or longer because there was no such thing as Facebook when we moved apart! I even got a job by reconnecting with an old friend on there, so I think it's great! :) It's very nice to have the internet to keep in touch with old friends.

At first i don't know anything about facebook. My friend just told me. So i tried to join, before, i has maybe 6 friends, but now i have some 500 friends. Whom i really know, Because i noticed that some people who use facebook just add anyone. And yeah, I've searched my old friends, some relatives, some ex-boyfriends, LOL. facebook helps me to get intouch with my long lost friends, but sadly, my high school friends were not the same anymore. They've met other friends. But it's ok. Life's like that, it's great to hear from them.

yes of course ... Facebook really help me to get my old friend.. many of my school friend are just not in touch for last 4 or 5 years .. but after crating a account in facebook we all meet each other.. thanks to facebook..

Yes! I have found a lot of old friends . . . even down to those I knew in kindergarten! Old school friends, old college friends, old co-coworkers, family members . . . you can literally find people in an instant - that is, if they are on Facebook. I have met up with a few of them . . . but the rest, eh, we just catch up and kind of leave it at that and they are faces/names on Facebook (which is fine too of course). It's easier for me to keep in touch with everyone online as I don't have time to go out or chat on the phone (or travel) - so Facebook has been great for this sort of reunion!

That's neat! I'm glad you found them! I found my old neighbors on Facebook. It's funny to see them grow up, especially since they kind of grew up for the worst. Most of them aren't in college and drink a lot. But hey, I remember when we were young kids in middle school!

Facebook can be consider as one of the easiest way to communicate and updated with each other and find friends or people as well.I do used Facebook to find friends that I look for and wanted to be updated and communicate with.It really helps a lot in so many ways as long as we use it in responsibly and with respect.

I found loads of friends on fb. I have been moving around a lot. So my friends as you know, come and go. My mum used to nag at me to get off facebook everyday as i enjoy my time chatting with my friends. Now guess what, my mum is the one talking about what she and her friends chatted on facebook the other day and stuff. Haha. So in a way, although facebook might be time consuming and everything, it just depends on how you arrange your time. =) happy mylotting.

Precisely! Facebook is a great way to meet many your old friends, even many new friends. Our life become more interesting thanks to Facebook. The feeling of meeting one friend that you haven't keep in touch for a while is very exciting. Especially, Facebook is the great way to invite your friends to your wedding if you don't know their phone number.

Facebook is really a friend searching god to me coz i found many school friends with whom i had not contacted since very long time but i found them on facebook and let me tell you one of the best thing because of which i made facebook my god, I found my old lover with whom i had lost connection from very long time from school days but now we are again together and now am going to marry her. Thanks to facebook for giving me back my old lost love. I love you facebook may you live long and successful.
