i have a web server on my own computer, i used APACHE as web server, i have mysql, php, and other server side scripting. it allows me to do what ever i want to place on my site so easily so i suggest to make your own.. i never heard of a free web hosting that offers free database (SQL).. to set up your router, just enable FORT Forwarding and open TCP/IP and PORT 80. set up for a dynamic dns service like dyndns.com so you wouldn't have any problems when your IP changed. the problem with local web server is that when you turn your computer off your site also goes offline..

Dice is right with alot of those sites but if you're making the site using your own comp then you should enable your router so that you can let the site be viewed by public.you alos need a Dns.
