Have you ever felt better whenever you "change"?

I think I feel I do, like i mean knowing that I have gone through something really life changing and it could either make or break me... But then I feel better because it actually was something I know that made me become a better person... and it changed me. Not the whole of what i believe it, or what I am to decide on.. but at least I am getting there... sort of changed into someone who understands more, someone who prays more, or someone who simply hopes more... and well someone who thinks that life is indeed better... I do not really know what happened, instead of being bitter, i chose to be better with the experiences i have had... Have you ever been in such a situation?

Yes, I've been there. That's what we call Let's "Change for the Better". I was once bitter person, I'm easily pissed and annoyed I don't know why. But, One day I woke up I realized that life is short and we are really here on earth to be happy. Make positivity be contagious.

i was a bit like that too.. especially when something did not go my way.. but well i guess we just have to sometimes live with other people and it is still true that we can be happy by choice no matter what the circumstances are. :D

Well dear that is a good attitude. It pays to be positive always. In may case i always make it a point to remember that everything works together for my own good. Whatever I went through I always refrain from being bitter. God has a reason why He allows tough things to come into my my life. I always make it a point to learn good lessons from every circumstances whether good or bad and thank God always for not forsaking me all through these, patiently and lovingly seeing me through all the pain sorrow and making me a better person after all those things.

thank you. =) thanks for your response to the discussion as well. I always keep that in mind too, that everything works together for the good and that every experience has to come about so we would be complete... and these are all just god's way. =) We just need to hold on, be positive, change ourselves to reflect the goodness of life, love and CHrist.

It is always feel good whenever you change. If that's for the better. I'm glad that you were able to find your true self, i also think that your understanding in life is much more wider. And one thing that i like about your change is that you pray more and hopes more. I hope that a lot of people would also think like that. I've also been in that situation, I was maybe 18 years old, when i decided to make a change in my life. I become more understanding, accepting things the way they are, loving people, meeting new people, enjoy life with simple things, and especially being closer to God. But still, i hope that i will again change for the better.

wow! i admire you for being able to see the needed change in yourself at such a young age. i had to admit that at 18 i was carefree and everything was about me. now i consider other people, my family especially he he :D but i guess we go through stages in our life at different times and because of different experiences.

Each New Year's Eve I promise myself I will change and won't make the same mistakes as I used to during the previous year. I have heard just the same thing by lots of people I know so I definitely don't believe in change. If you try to quit smoking you may do it for a certain period and then start again. This is true for the most things we are used to.

HI chiyo! That for sure. I will feel much more better when something change my life. Even if it is hard to face and get through of it but it will give a good result at the end. I hope you don't forget what you mentioned above. Every time you feel upset look at this words that you have written here and I am sure you will feel a lot better. When you understand, pray and hope more you won't feel bad over things anymore~ Keep it up!!!(^^)

I came through a lot of bad periods in my life. Long terrible periods. If I am in the middle of it I fight. It's great if you survive them but I don't think it really changed me. I try not to make the same mistakes (mostly only very bad for me and nobody cares) but I am still who I am. It's how you look upon your experiences and your character how you see them. There is no need to grieve since it's all a part of you and life would be boring if nothing ever happend. It's also good to know you can survive it all. And if you survive it this time you will survive next time as well. It will only make you stronger.

Well, yes that i think is right. When we think about it.. sometimes i feel i might not be able to cope up.. though the tears and the hurt is haunting you at the moment.. well i guess it will go away eventually. i just think that maybe for me, my character was formed better through the experiences and how i reacted to the things that has happened. i thought, maybe if these happened prior to a certain stage, i would have reacted differently...

Yeah I would feel better to. In fact I am planning of a little change lately. And just thinking about this little change excites me so much and looking forward. Although there were a little fear - I am still confident that sooner or later it will turn out good for me. I am tired of the bitterness, so it's time to feel better.

Hi chiyosan...:) Yeah I have, only when my efforts are worked well. And most of the changes that I've done always make me feel better than before, because most of the changes are what I want to change in my life. I try not to force myself to change for others, specially for others opinion. If I try to change for people's opinion, it does not work that good to me. Such a nice discussion :) happy mylotting.

yes, that is right. of course when we change, that is for us... people benefitting for it would just be an additional reward but ultimately anything we do for ourselves should always be about us. do not change because of others, but do change when you feel that you have to and that you need to improve and make yourself feel good, or better.

Yes i do feel better when i change some bad things i have into good one.Or some characters that makes me low as a person,I try to change then and i feel better. But in some situation when you change from good to worst its just make you feel bad instead of being happy and continted in your life.So you have to choose changing to be a better person to feel better,or change for worst.

that's right. but i thought so myself.. i won't sulk and be swallowed whole by the experiences that hurt me... infact i thought i should just go about it by embracing and learning from them and changing myself too.
