Happy New Year!
Well, I must admit im a little bit late with my greetings but its still The 17th day of January and its better late than never.
2011 ended tragically, though I was not one of those lost loved ones but still the pain is so strong to ignore. You see it all over our city, the wrath of Sendong, even when I went home to my father's place in Cebu Sendong kept on haunting me, its on the news. But still, we welcomed 2012 with high hopes that this will be another year, another year of dreams and reality that Cagayan de Oro will soon rise from the devastation Sendong brought. We welcome 2012 with prayers that our brothers and sisters who were affected will be able to slowly rise and and be able to recover from their state.
For me, my prayer is that I will be able to help with what I have. I dont have much but im willing to share my life, ears, my lips to those who needs words of encouragement and words that will lift up those who are weary. More then the food, the relief goods they also need our ears to listen and our presence to be just there for them.

I think 2012 will be another sucky1 year with it mega doses of war , human carnage, natural disaster , greedy people destroying the world economic and such , maybe they will be also new wave of disease like h1n1 sars and such spread by greedy people playing with animal genes and such.Personlly i hope i am less an idiot and able to save more money.

hi zelmarq! i have watched the destruction, sendong brought to your area and in other areas in our country. i really felt sad for our countrymen who have suffered and are still suffering until this day. i admire your faith and courage that you will all be able to rise from that devastation. my prayers for all of those who were affected by sendong and other calamities in our nation.

That is the right attitude. You really need to be strong for other especially those people from your place. If there are people strong that are around them they will surely push themselves to move on too. I know how hard it is for them to move on but that is the only way. Even myself, I still feel a lump in my throad whenever the word Sendong is being talked about even I live here in Manila. I do not know how to help them but through prayers. I just hope God make them stronger and give them the reason why it happened. For sure some of them or a lot of them are angry at God because they lost their family, home and even their business, but surely there will be a right person or people that will able to help them. I am sad to knowt that many who survived are now depressed and even might lose their mind too. I just hope the government continue to help them until they can stand alone. We still need to think that this year is the best year. We need to pray for one another to survive.
