Does anyone make money from blogging or website?

Hi,
I am interested in making money from adsense ads or something like that by starting a website or a blog.
I have a question.
Does anyone have a blog or a website that they earn money from, and what tips can you give us newbies? I am new but I am interested and eager to learn. Please post your experiences below and tell me whether it is worth it or not!!!

Hi I make money by writing blogs. And so far it is good. http://www.triond.com/rw/452347
that is the site. All you have to do is write some articles and get good traffic and in no time you will earn money. You can get your earnings every 10th day of the month. And if you earnings is above $.50, you can automatically withdraw it through paypal.

I heard that there are a lot of web2.0 platforms such as the triond which you mentioned but I was more interested in getting a proper website with domain and hosting and everything. :)
Any tips of that.
Also, I cannot believe that the payout for triond is only $0.50, that is amazing! Tell me, have you ever had any payouts or anything, and how much do you earn?

I am also in the same mood. I really think making money via creating a website is much easier. I would expect some experts answer for this post.
