Yes, earth hour is almost here again, most offices in our place participates however our office doesn't because we store something important that any decrease in temperature may lessen the quality and may not be able to help save lives... But we do minimize the use of electricity to that equipment only. As for my community, not all participates but as for my home i look forward in giving my one hour for the environment/earth.

We always join and participate in the Earth hour campaign every year.Even for just an hour or so,we can help saving Mother Earth and conserve energy for a while.I think everyone should participate as much as they can.

Hello Hooded Boy, I find it quite interesting that some people have never heard of Earth Hour, and it is actually a bit disturbing as either there is no WWF presence in their area, or the interest of people in that area is not related to the environment (not enough anyway). I will be attending in Romania, where the event has grown in the 5 years the local branch of WWF is promoting and the 5th edition in our country will catch us in the center of the capital city, Bucharest, where the Faculty of Geography will be participating in the event by lighting symbolic candles (both me and the wife will also bring all the candles we can spare at home). I hope this event will be bigger then all the rest and will make people get it once and for all that if we just understand enough, if we know enough we CAN save our planet and create a better future for it, for us and for the future generations.

I have never ever heard of Earth Hour. Is it for yourself helping the environment or something? Im lost ony our post but i have gone around when i was younger and pickedup trash around the neighborhodd i lived for and i have given back to my community with volunteeer hours. I think its good enough. But if people really helped in and starting cleaning up around there town they would see an improvement and see what a change it would make the way they lived. They actually might feel better after doing something like this too. Have a great day mylotting.

in our community only a very few knows about it or participate but at home we try to participate. one house might not have a big difference but it may help spread awareness on being responsible for our environment.

If I remember I will, but I try to do small things to not destroy the enviroment even more. I separate my trash, take fast showers and only use turn on the lights after 9PM. Still have plenty of things that I can change, but I try to do small improves per time.

That's nice... and those simple things are the things that most people in the world right now doesnt realize... They can't see that with a small plastic bottle that they throw on the rivers or oceans will soon bite us big time when the time comes that mother nature strikes back....
