Hello friends, i have fiance for almost 2 years or more and now we are planning to get marry but i think its not the time to get a wedding gown its too early to get that, the wedding will 7 months from now but hes pretty excited to get a wedding dress. On your own opinion is that right or too early for that? Please share your views...

I dont think that it is early when the wedding is 7 months to go. I think it is ok especially if she doesnt want to buy a ready made wedding gown but rather to be made for one. It is good to prepare early than rushing around at the last minute.

Then I think he is right on time. Not so early for a perfectly made gown.

Hello Mashnn Yes we are not buying a ready made, this picture is the design for the wedding dress and i think they need more enough time to sew and the laces and other stuff...thanks for the comments.

I think it's a little early to be thinking about the wedding gown. Although time flies really quick, I guess you need to start with other stuff first before the wedding gown. But do try to look for ideas on what wedding gown you would like. If it's a big wedding where you have to prepare for gowns for others then you start asking first how much the budget you need to prepare. In 4 months I guess it would be okay to start doing all the works for your gown. Congratulations in Advance!

CONGRATULATIONS....Babes you look super excited...but put some brakes to that...purchasing a wedding gown 7 months before is not at all suggestible.I suggest you to do that either a month or two before wedding. Now you can go to have an idea on the detailing of the wedding gown, its prices and all such stuff. But i feel its not the time to purchase.Stay cool.Enjoy each and every moment with your fiancee.Have great time.

It's kinda sweet to think that your partner is more excited that you are. Well, early birds catches worm. It's better to prepare early so that you can have a lot of options and select whats best for you.

Seven months away? Yes I believe you are right. It is too early to get a wedding dress. She could either grow thinner or bigger then her size within the next seven months so she should rather will until it is at least just a month away. And besides the gown might look old and no longer in fashion within the next 7 months. In my case I got my wedding gown a week after my wedding. I had it sewn by my favorite couturier. It went through a lot of of minor revisions till I finally got contented. Meanwhile before I forget I want to say my advance greetings, " Congratulations and best wishes to both of you!

I think you MUST start with all the preparation now. The time needed for the preparation will depend on the details of the wedding like bride's gown, entourage's dresses and suits, venue, souvenirs, wedding cakes & catering etc... But for a simple wedding I think 7 months is just enough. The usual church wedding though in the Philippines based on our family's experience as well as that of my friends and relatives, the usual time frame to book and get everything ready is 1 year. It is very important, especially with the venue, to prepare ahead of time, so that if there are some hassles and complications there would still be sufficient time to resolve them. Mine was a simple wedding here in Australia, and it took me 6 months to prepare everything. I didn't even have to hire a designer for the gown. I bought it ready made from a fashion shop here. It was a simple long dress. Everything was simple and I think I did very well within that 6 months preparing everything 'all by myself'. Good luck and best wishes. So better keep the ball rolling now.

It's just a little early but I think 7 months would be okay. When I got married, we had the gown made I think 5 months before the wedding. I guess it really depends on how intricate the design of your gown will be. My wife's gown was a bit simple so it could actually be completed in two months but we just had it made earlier due to scheduling issues with the designer. One problem though with having a gown made early is you have to maintain your weight and size during the time you first fitted the gown :) But I think they don't sew it permanently just in case they have to make adjustments to the gown.

yes i think too early, and i worried about the gown maybe not fitted well or maybe i gain a weight its okey if i lose a weight its not too difficult to adjust....hes very excited for that...but i think this gown need a little bit time to complete and sequence on it.

You should start looking as soon as possible for a dress. This way you can get a good deal on one. My wedding is about 14 months away & I've already found my dress!

its totally depend on you,if you are able to set your mind for marriage then do it ,there is nothing about early or late in marriage.because some times we have let every thing go with time .if you understand each other very well and there is no doubt in your mind about your partner .then just do it. because marriage will helpful to increase your love and there is no such happiness if you are getting marry with your loved one.don't wait or there is chance that may be the condition are not favorable for your marriage.

That is too early and may not fit to you on the wedding day. I guess have the design you wanted and canvass or look for it so that in a month or two before the wedding, you can have it bought to the store or made it. But if your fiance insist and you want it also, you can choose gown that is adjustable or have an agreement with the couturier that you want something that can be easily adjust in case it doesn't fit in the next 7 months. Congrats and Good luck!
