I really wonder. 
In my case, I already have 62 friends, but I can usually respond to less than 10 members a day. With regard to messages, I am consistent in sending personal messages to one member here. How I wish I can respond to all of you, but it's next to impossible. 
I also wonder how many among these 238,371 members are still active in myLot.

Yes. I think this is the third day but the system shows I submitted this discussion one day ago.
It's really difficult to respond to everyone especially to those who never came back to check for comments to their discussions. It's also difficult because of time. You are correct! We don't have common time. We are from different countries. The night time here is daytime in the USA.

I never know how long I'm going to be using mylot or how often. It just happens so getting back to discussions is sometimes a problem, I suspect it is the same for others too and then we move on to other discussions and it becomes a mismatch and sometimes lost in the list or your mood changes. PM. Private message! I don't know what should be private?

Yes, jaime22! It's so difficult to respond if we don't feel to, if we're not interested. I think most of us are doing this. There are also exceptions. In my case, sometimes, I pity those who never receive any comments for a day or two, sometimes, a week. So I'm doing my best to help by leaving a simple comment. Sometimes, I do a research just to leave comments. But I'm not always doing this. In my experience also, I sent a message to one member to clarify her question to my discussion. She said to just ignore it because it doesn't really matter. She just wrote it because she wanted to add more posts.

We're good conversationalists if we're talking about our interests. We can say a lot of information and we can make the discussion longer. This is what myLot wants, to lengthen the discussion so that we'll get more responses.

yeah that is right wittynet when we are talking about our interests we can share a lot of information and we can exchange ideas about that certain interest/topic, sometimes it's quite obvious when someone is just responding for the sake of making another post and it's not good..whenever I start my own discussion I always want responses that are engaging so that I can also make a good response (or comment as mylot calls it).

that's just make sense since because if we try to comment in a discussion that doesn't interest us our response will not be that good as compared to our response in topics that we are interested in and know something about and because of that we will not have a good conversation with the discussion creator.

Hello, adhyz82! It's nice to know that we can also have online friends. That's great. We can usually converse longer with people who also have the same interest with us. In my case, my friend here and I always talk about sites and money. I think we're both so poor that we want more earnings.

I really don't count as to how many members i am able to respond to in a day. I just keep on choosing topics and responding to them. Sometimes, i respond to one's mylotters' numerous discussion for the day. That's because i could relate to them.

I know how it feels because I also experienced the same thing. Are you also aware that myLot notification is sometimes not working? I can guarantee this. Last week, I posted two discussions before I retired to bed. I waited for more than an hour so that I can immediately respond to comments in my discussions. I was so dismayed because my other discussion did not receive any comments. The following day, I checked my email and found out there's no response yet. I didn't bother to check the discussion in myLot because I was also busy with other discussions and other sites. It was I think the third day when I discovered by accident that I received two comments. I immediately replied and apologized for I never received any notifications. Well, this is an exception, but it sometimes happens. I would advise that you also double-check your discussions in myLot.

According to statcrop, daily visitors to mylot about 42,000. So, just 20% from total member active daily.
Of course, we can't make respond to all active discussion in single day, that's quiet a lot. I just make about 10 respond per day.....

I think 42,000 visitors includes "visitors" that are not members of mylot as we know mylot pages appears in search engine results..just sharing my opinion, but luckygrey's point is right it's quite impossible to respond to all active discussions and if one try that I believe the quality of his/her post will be compromised..

Out of that population here, I only have I guess 200+ friends. And I can't even respond on all of their discussions. Probably if I respond to all those members, even if I don't sleep I can never respond to all of them

It all depends on my mood. When I am in my best element I can go on responding endlessly until I am overdosed. Someone ever commented that I am 'everywhere' in mylot. 
That's a bit over rated statement but I am glad I can make good use of my time here exercising my brain.

Hello, zandi458! I like that word overdosed. When I was new here in myLot, I got addicted and I became exhausted. I didn't want to leave my computer for a minute because I wanted to respond to all discussions. I believe that you're everywhere here. You already have 11,404 posts!

Hi, Wittynet, I can't say the number of people I respond to in a day. I just browse through the discussion "friend started" and see the home page. I don't send PMs, I'm not very regular here and I still don't have a closer relationship with anybody. But I like to login when I have time for myself because this is a wonderful place.

Same here witt. I can't respond to all my friends here and to all posting in here though I really wanted to because my time was limited doing onlines, I have other things to manage. I know all of us deals with this manner so I should not be worry because our availability matters here and our interest too.
I just wonder that I'm slow moving here with regards to counting numbers next in our usernames but it's because I responded reading all posts first before I do my replies which is recommended and many times too, I just fond reading posts in here within my interest that sometimes after reading all comments I had nothing in mind to share because all were there shared by our good friends already *sigh!
By doing so, I just found out that friends around hanging here on MyLot were all witty, clever, spirited, knowledgeable, friendly and the likes! That's the reason why I keep on coming back and do MyLotting witt! I love being here *wink!

I don't notice (or I am not conscious) how many discussions I respond to in a day because it's really different from day to day, sometimes I respond to many discussions but there are times I only respond to one discussion but comment in many responses within the same discussion, I usually have very long conversations with some of my friends here that sometimes I don't have much time to find other discussions that I will be interested in.

You're doing great, phillyguy! MyLot wants us to engage in discussion, not in posting alone. Very long conversations means you're a good speaker. No one will stay longer with you if you're not. I also aim to always post more but it seems they're no longer interested. Another factor is time. Sometimes, I can no longer wait for more comments that is why I can't lengthen the conversation. But I also experienced having a very long conversation with one member here. It ended up we're no longer talking about the topic, but we both enjoyed it.

Same here I always want to post more by furthering the discussion and there are some friends here who will always go back and enjoy a long conversation but others don't and we can't do anything about it..it's up to them if they want to reply or not.
..it ended up we're no longer talking about the topic.. it always happen with me and some of my friends here, we just continue interacting and we talked about many things that are not related to the topic anymore, time is not that a big issue with us because we always check back and we are still replying even though we are late, sometime even after a week we are still talking in the same discussion.

Its all depends on my timing, during that timing I replied to most of the interesting topic that I seen through it.
I try to reply most of my friends who starts the disscusions, but here too its all depends on time. i just few hours in Internet so its hard to reply all of them

yeah it is impossible to respond all the member of your friend list.i want to participate in their discussion.but when i felt that discussion that are started by any member is not interesting then i didn't participate in that.but in a day i respond at least 15-20 discussion started by my friends.

Yes, vt689586! It is very difficult to force ourselves to respond to a discussion we're not interested with. But sometimes, I force myself. Whenever I have time, I look for discussion that doesn't have any response. If I notice that it has been few days, I am trying to leave a comment. I am not usually doing this. I sometimes do if I'm in the mood to help those who never receive any comments.

I think probably half the mylotters on here are probably active but then who really knows during the day when im on here its usually the same people and they stay pretty active until about 1:00 in the afternoon my time because i think its night time for them or something.
Now usually idont write any of the friends i have on here unless they start a discussion and i respond to i ont write comments on profiles on here and dont send messages. I dont want messages so i dont write them either. Im usually on mylot when at work so i dont really have enough time but im actually im at home right now and enjoying my time to mylot.

wittynet: It depends on the time we can allot. Today I can allot a few minutes now. In this I will post two or three responses. On days when I allot fully for mylot I do post 40 to 50 responses.
