As i have previously discussed , my husband had the results of his laboratory exams interpreted. He also had an ultrasound to note of his prostate. His ECG for the heart showed slow rhytymn but the doctor said it's okay. His overall other exams such as cholesterol, createnine , blood sugar and the like are all okay. But his ultrasound showed that he has a mild enlarged prostate. The doctor said, that men who are 40 yrs. old and above are susceptible to this. As to the enlarged prostate, his doctor said that he just have to monitor it. Nothing serious. Though, i am wary that why he didn't ask how it could be made normal again . I made my research on it and will be showing it to him when i go home tomorrow, since i am here at our hometown, visiting my parents. I wasn't wrong, when i noticed something wrong with him, whenever he pees at night. I noticed that it would take him quite sometime before he finally urinate. So i was right with what i was thinking, when the result of the ultrasound came. I definitely would let him go back to the doctor on Monday to ask why he would just have to monitor and not take any medicine to correct it.

That is something that should be watched closely. If I were him I would go for a second opinion about it. I would never let that go like that. I knew a guy that I worked with that started out that way, the doctor took a biopsy and said that it was cancer, but only a small part of it was and if her went to take part of it out he would be okay. And he had it done and is still around today. That was like 7 years ago. Imagine if he ignored it, where he would be today.

Well, the doctor assured him that it's just a mild enlargement of the prostate. He was told to have a bi-annual check-up on it, so that it could always be checked as to whether it could already be cancerous. The ultrasound clearly indicated the mild enlargement. I am happy that he was assured that it was nothing serious.

Well, thats good to hear. Just make sure he goes for the check ups. That way if it ever did change they would be able to do something right away. I need to go for an annual check up myself. Just to make sure I am okay.

It's always a good idea to tell your doctor about these new things. They might know something we don't. I am going to ask my doctor about something I saw on TV about testosterone. Maybe I need it, and if he could give me some inside on it, then maybe it would be good for me.

Personally I hope you can get him to consider going back to his Doctor, and maybe you with him, and asking some questions this time to find out what they can recommend to help this. You said they did Blood work to rule out everything else right? But they do not want to offer advice on things to help this, or what this could mean in the future. Truthfully it sounds like you need to be owed more than this just for a sound mind for sure. Will be Praying.

Thanks my friend. The doctor assured us that it's nothing serious. It just have to be monitored so that when it grows larger, it could be treated with medications. We went to the doctor together, so i would be sure of what the doctor has to say.

What has been his diet so far? And what kind of drink has he been taking? I think what has happened to your husband has something to do with his regular eating and drinking habit. This can be cured of course.

Well, my friend i think it's not those that caused it. It's normal for men his age, 40 and above to have it, according to the doctor. But yes, it's still curable. I thank God it's not serious.

Darn! You just scared the cr@p out of me! I have not been eating healthy, and I know that I am due for a check up soon (maybe since last year), but I have been delaying it as I didn't want to hear any bad news from doctors. Maybe I should go and have a check up now.

It was through ultrasound that the mild enlargement of the prostate was seen, bing. Yeah, you better have yourself a check-up, bounce. My husband and i always have a yearly check-up. Me, i always do it whenever i feel something unusual with me.
