Are there any restaurants in your area and how often do you visit them?

I don't eat out very often, I want to save up money for travelling so we usually cook our own food and eat at home, but today I visited one of the cheap restaurants is our area. The restaurant belongs to a restaurant chain, the restaurants are cheap and they have become very popular since the first restaurants were started. It is Saturday today and there were lots of people and lots of waiting time, but the food was nice. The restaurant is famous for their beef, but I chose their salat buffet instead of beef. They have a big salat buffet with many different kinds of vegetables. Are there any restaurants close to your home? How often do you eat out? Do you have a favourite restaurant that you like to visit when you want to celebrate something or meet your friends? What do you like about that restaurant?

Ah the pleasures of fine dining. There are a handful of classy restaurants here, and there are those not so expensive chains. I love eating as much as anything. A myriad of dishes all over the place from different cultures all around the world. But dining out in restaurants can be expensive. In the last 5 years I have gone to restaurants at least once a month on special occasions with family or from invitations. I mostly dine at home saving up for a rainy day myself. I mostly like italian and chinese dishes. Gee, just thinking about that makes me hungry.

True dining out is expensive, sometimes I try to learn how to cook them so I could eat them at half the cost.

Yes, unfortuneately it is often expensive to eat out. We have some relatively cheap chain restaurants, but many of the other restaurants are expensive and I can't eat out as often as I want as I have to save money for other things. I especially like the international restaurants where I get the chance to eat food from around the world. I love to try new dishes every time I visit a restaurant.

Usually, I like to cook myself, or, prefer home made meals, instead of restaurant, but, from time to time, I like to go out, and dinner outside, I can do it by myself, or with friends. I like italian restaurants, my favourite meal is pasta, and chinesse and mexican restaurants as well. There are several one in my area, prices varies from cheap to the very fancy ones. What I do not like, is fast food restaurants, you know, those who serve burgers, tacos and fries, and so on, I used to, when taking out my nephews, but, I prefer more elaborate and tasty meals.

I like Italian, Chinese and Mexican food. I had Chinese food on New Year's Eve and it was very delicious. I love to go out for dinner, maybe because I am not a very good cook myself but we eat at home most of the time. We can't afford to go out for dinner as often as I would like to, because we want to save up money for travelling, so this year we are going to experiment with new recipes at home instead.

It is a good idea to save some money in this days, and I like that you have a goal in mind, that of traveling, hope you can fulfilled it soon, and, new recipes, sound great too. Eating outside, is quite expensive, and, not always is that good, but, is funny from time to time.

Hi Porcospino, I love eating out. My favorite restaraunt is an Italian place called The Olive Garden. The food is delicious and the salads are just wonderful!

That sounds very nice, I like Italian food. In the area where I lived before we had a Italian restaurant, and their food was very delicious. I haven't found a good Italian restaurant in the area where I live now, but I would like to find one.

Hi Porco, nowadays, i had been less dining out at restaurants in my area here. It is because they are very expensive. We will only dining out in those restaurants when we want to celebrate some special occasions. Most of the time, we will just cook some special dishes which we had learned from the internet and eat at home. After all, i am planning to save as much money as possible, so able to go traveling overseas soon. Hope to hear news from you again, Porco. I had replied your email a week ago. Take care always...

My husband and I want to do the same thing. We really want to save up money for travelling and in order to do that we have to spend less money on other things like dinner in town. We both like to eat out or drink coffee in a coffeshop, but we are still going to cut back on those things, because travelling is more important. I was happy to receive your email and I will reply to it very soon.

There is tones of plays to eat out at. I want to say we eat out every two weeks to take a break from me or my husband cooking and being pregnant doesn't really help with that. Food cravings get to me some times but we try hard to stay in as much and eat at home. We try to do it all week long my husbands cousin she lives with us as well she eats out more often then us. With a small child that is almost one we eat in more to teach her good healthy eating and if we eat out it's a sit down resturnts where they is to es of veggies.

It is nice to eat out sometimes. Even when you like cooking your own food it is nice to take a break sometimes and eat at a restaurant. In the past my husband and I often had dinner in town, but at the moment we are trying to cut back on the money that we spend on those things, so we are going to eat out less often.

We normally eat out for special things or when my husbands grandparents are in town they like to take us out to new places and treat us to a nice meal. This weekend coming we are going to eat out for lunch. It'll be our daughters first birthday so we are taking her to a place where little kids can play they have a toddler room that she would have fun in.

I also tend to go away from my own area when I want to have fun, because there are few places to visit on my own island. On one of the neighbour islands there is a big city and I like visiting that place because there are lots of possibilities and lots of places to visit when we want to go out or have fun.

Gift cards for eating out that is nice. We got one gift card last year, too and we plan on spending it on Valentine's day, because that is our anniversary. We have booked a table in the restaurant where we met 4 years ago. I love to eat out, but we are trying to save money at the moment, so this year we are not going to eat out very often.

When i was young there were very few restaurants in our area and they were dirt cheap. Most of them were vegetarian since our area has mostly vegetarians living here. There were 2 or 3 Irani hotels run by settlers from Iran and they did serve non-veg stuff but no beef and they too were dirt cheap. Now with the spread of international cuisine restaurants have mushroomed and we can get all sorts of food here but hardly any non-veg food..I don`t go to any hotel here but generally place and order and they send it over to my house as home delivery is free and more popular. The food is hot and i can eat leisurely at home. There is one Chinese restaurant close by but there is no home delivery there,so my man goes there to place and order and collect it.When my friends come over we usually order home delivery and eat at our leisure.Nowadays the food items have become very costly so i order maybe once a month or once in 2 months. Most of the time i eat home cooked food.

In my country there are very few vegetarian restaurants, because most people eat meat. Personally I love vegetarian food, but I also eat meat sometimes. I like restaurants that deliver the food at my home. Sometimes my husband and I don't feel like going out and we prefer to have a quiet meal in our home instead. Unfortuneately home delivery is not free like at your place and we have to pay for it if we ask them to deliver the food in our home. The rest of the time we cook our own food, because it expensive to eat out too often.

There are very few restaurants in my town. We have a Hardee's, McDonalds, Subway, Pizza and Chinese and 1 Family Style restaurant. That's it. But not only is that for the town, that's the entire county. We will be going to the family style restaurant in the morning. My son loves to go there on Saturday or Sunday for their breakfast buffet. It's alright, not the greatest, but different from eating breakfast at home. I'm going to have to learn to manage my money a lot more, so eating out is definitely going to have to come to a stop. I do hate that when I go to visit my parents they have hundreds of restaurants and I love to eat at so many and can't ever decide what to eat when we are there.

Your town sounds a lot like mine. I live in the biggest town on my island, but the number of restaurants is limited. If we want to have to international food we usually visit the biggest city on one of the neighbour island. In that city we can find food from India, Mexico, China, Turkey and many other places. It is almost hard to make a decision

It is nice to celebrate special occasions in a restaurant. My husband and I like Chinese food, too and we actually celebrated our wedding in a Chinese restaurant. It is one of our favourite restaurants. The food is great and we like the atmosphere as well. In a couple of weeks my husband and I going to have brunch in a restaurant. We want to celebrate our anniversary there, because we met eachother on the 24th February 4 years ago. We chose the restaurant where we spent our first date.

Yes. There is a restaurant nearby our place that I would visit whenever I have a visitor coming from abroad or close friends dropping by to see me. This restaurant has a wide array of food to choose from and their presentation is really good. Not to mention the price is very reasonable. I love seafood and they just prepare it so well in that restaurant.

That restaurant sounds like a great place. I also have a restaurant that I like to visit when some of my friends visit me. It is nice place, the food is great and it is it is especially nice during the summer months when we are able to sit outside. Right now it is much to cold for that and we are only able to sit inside the restaurant, but it is still a nice place.

Yes, there are. My favorite one is located not far away. It is a steakhouse. It serves well-tasted steak with cheap price. Sometimes people are wandering why that restaurant can sell a cheap and well steak. Commonly in Indonesia, restaurants which able to serve cheap food are often called into question. Do they use inappropriate supplies so that they able to serve cheap steak? However, apparently this restaurant survives from any kind of 'retail inquisition' (as we call it in Indonesia) and keeps standing without obstacles. Customers find themselves satisfied with that steakhouse, both in service and meal quality. For that reason, I often like to eat out in that steakhouse. Besides, I find that the steakhouse's decoration is convenient for anyone, from children to elder. Despite of that, I always love to eat at steakhouse which offers cheap and tasty steak.

That steakhouse sounds like a popular restaurant in my country. They also sell many different kinds of steaks and the restaurants are cheap compared to many other restaurants. One of my friends love that that steakhouse and whenever we are going out for dinner together he suggests that restaurant. It has become very popular, because the steaks are tasty and the restaurant is cheaper than many other restaurants.

Oh yes, there are PLENTY of restaurants in our area. I live in "Los Angeles", so there are restaurants of any kind, everywhere. In my particular area, there are especially many restaurants because it's a college town - lots of hungry students - ha ha. There are tons of fast food places as well as some finer restaurants. We try not to eat out as much as possible because we want to save as much money as we can. But admittedly sometimes I just can't get dinner out as I have two little rascals on my hands ha ha - so my husband will go pick up something on his way home from work. My favorite local restaurant would have to be this Persian one. We LOVE Persian food - and it seems that every friend has been turned onto this cuisine as we've introduced them to it. It's not really the restaurant ambiance that I'm attracted to - they are quite casual, the service is ok (the busboys are actually the friendliest), and nothing special about their decor. But the food is AMAZING with big portions. For the most part we don't eat there, we usually take out because we have two little ones who won't exactly sit still at a restaurant - ha ha!

Your area is very different from the area where I live, I think we have about 10 restaurants on the entire island. I would love to live at a place like Los Angeles where there are so many restaurants to choose from, but I am afraid that I would eat out much too often Persian food sounds interesting. My husband and I once tried to cook Persian food at home, and it was delicious, and it could be interesting to try other Persian dishes.

Hi, Porcospino, what a pleasant topic. I'm sure that your discussion will get crowded with participants just like the restaurants around my home are crowded with clients. Everybody notices that in these times of crises the restaurants are full of people. I like to visit cheep restaurants when I can afford it. I like to eat fish because I don't cook fish very well. But I like also the ambiance especially in the summer when you can sit outside.

Yes, it is very nice when it is possible to sit outside, I also like that. In my country we have very cold winters so eating outside is not an option. When spring and summer arrive the restaurants and the cafes start carrying tables and chairs outside, that is always a sign that the summer months are on their way I also like to visit cheap restaurants. Some of the restaurants in my country are very expensive, and my husband and I can't afford that, but fortuneately we also have a few cheap restaurants like the one that I visited today.

The restaurant that I visited today was cheap compared the others, and I stay away from the expensive restaurants. We have some extremely expensive restaurants in my area. I think that the prices are totally crazy (more than $100 for one dish) I defineately prefer to save that money and spend it on plane tickets instead!

Hi Porcospino, yes there are a lot of resturants in my location. Because of finanial issues , I don't go out as much as I use to when I was working..I do on occassions get a chance to meet my friends to have a girls day out and just to see each other..I mean even with the economy being so tough we still have to enjoy our lives to some extent...because if we don't depression and stress will take over our lives and thats just not how we are suppose to live. I do cook at home what I want and when I want...which could be all over the map, LOL, but thats just the way I eat... I normally meet my friends on Thursdays at this certain resturant where seniors eat for half price every Thursday...That works for us..and we get the chance to catch up on life... Being a senior does have its advantages....I love it...

Hi Porcospino, Yeah, we do have a lot of restaurants here in our are but it isn't cheap that's why I don't eat there often. Maybe once in two months or even once every 6 months...just depending on the budget. What I like to eat in there is their beef. It's not really that expensive. Their meat is really very delicious and if it's really cheap, then I would really eat that almost everyday (if I am not on my low protein diet). Anyways, that is my favorite restaurant. But I am more on fast food chains. It's near in my house since I live in the city but I still need to ride a jeepney in going in there. And yeah, I also like the ambiance of that area...seems really friendly and cozy. Happy Mylotting.
