Reusable shopping bags

I prefer using reusable shopping bags. Aside from helping save the environment, it can also be fashionable. I have reusable shopping bags that have great designs. Sometimes I even use them to bring some things home from work or vice versa.

Me, too. I prefer reusable bags, the cloth types. I only have two but they are not fashionable. Still, I prefer using them while I'm doing the grocery because it's easier to carry and yes, it's more environment-friendly. Instead of using plastics which are not biodegradable and often thrown after using because supermarkets and groceries have endless supply of them. It's good that they have already stopped issuing plastic bags and this forces shoppers to bring their own bag.

I bought a couple to use around the house - they are handy for keeping projects together. But, I do NOT use them for shopping. They are too much trouble, awkward to carry around with you (I do an entire weeks shopping at a time - that is a lot of bags). They have to be routinely washed because they have a tendancy to accumulate dust, lint, and other dirt. I have also noticed that people who do use the reusable shopping bags take longer to get through the check out; slowing down the rest of us and slowing down the cashiers (that means either longer lines or additional cashiers to handle the extra work which drives up the cost of merchandise). Plus, I recycle my plastic bags. Stores make recycling these bags very easy - simply drop them in a container at the entrance to the store on your way in. One store even got a couple of "park benches" for customers to sit down on and the "wood" that makes them is actually made from recycled bags and they have a little plaque that tells you how many recycled bags it took to make the bench (fewer trees cut down).

i especially like that the local shopping malls here in the country are starting this initiative on their own. they've marked specific days of the week when they will be using these bags and will not be using plastic bags. i heard that one of the major groceries is doing away with plastic bags already and this early they are informing their clients about this move. eventually, what they will use are the bags that they give out to their customers.

I use those reusable shopping bags all the time it saves and they are good and strong when you have milk or soda in the bag you can grab the bag by the handles I think that it is the best idea use them all the time

I purchased a few during their promotion and always keep one in my handbag because sometimes I just went shopping and forget that it's not a 'No Plastic Bag' day. Apart from saving the environment, they are pretty handy, especially the one in my bag. You'll never know when you will need to use a bag to carry something.

Reusable shopping is a simple way of helping our environment. I'm planning to buy a reusable shopping bag so that I can help save our environment and so that it isn't so embarrassing when you are going in a mall.

where i live it is cheaper to use those reusable bags because the stores charge you 5 cents per every bag that you buy from the store. it is called an environmental tax!

I love these cloth bags which you can fold and put into your purse so if you shop and cant fit everything into the purse they just come in handy. I also collect the most beautiful ones I get and wont use them as they are too cute.
