I felt that this is worth discussing because i am in the biggest dilemma of my life right now. I am good at many things in which i can proceed so as to make my career. But at the same time i am not amongst the best people of any domain. I like doing many things but again i feel i wont be the appropriate person for that job/profession. Sometimes i feel confident enough to make my professional sledge start sliding on a certain slope but later i realize that i have made a wrong decision. Now i feel like worried and afraid of making any wrong decision which might make me more depressed and increase my stress level. I expect my fellows here to try helping me out of this and to share their experiences if they had any...:)

First, you must choose a career not for the monetary reason but for what will give you the fulfillness and happiness in doing it. Never settle for something that will make you stagnant as a person, learn more and live more in an enjoyable and relaxing way, and lastly always ask God for guidance on what his big purpose is with your life.

you need to have focus with what you really want like for example if your into big salary nor if your into the kind of job you want as if your into the kind of job you want but if they offer lower salary then for sure you will get out from their sooner, now if you have big salary and dont like what your doing then the same thing. so best thing is to look around you, try to walk and look at those people along the street begging nor selling goods for money sake and look how miserable nor happy they are and look are those people who need to wake up so early just to apply for the job and yet at the end of the day they didnt get it and need ot apply again the next day and still no good result. so then you will realize that its not about the money nor job you have but its on how happy and contented you are in your job by start to like what your doing thinking you are more lucky enough to have the job as there sno need for you to beg nor line up again for new job application. if you have job and you earn big though you always think that you become so tired with the work and become boring then just think about the salary day and the things you can buy from your salary. and of course try to earn as much as you can have as the bigger savings you have the more you will work hard coz you see your hard work. try to plan for you future by having family and kids as it will make you think that you need to do better for you kids and wife. every time i got tired in my work dong a lot of late and absences i just realize one time when i went to the mall and i saw this very long line of applicants trying to get the job and when i got to see the street while im inside the bus while on my way home i saw those vendor with their sweat trying to sell goods with just few money in return the whole day of selling i just smile and say thanks god coz i have my job and its not that hard so i guess should love and keep it not just for me but for my baby sake.

We feel stressed and depressed when what we have been expecting finally turned out to be not what we want. What makes us depressed is actually we have put into effort seriously and set the expectation so high. What do you think of this proverb: "Man proposes, God disposes".? I consider this proverb as a weapon to protect myself from being depressed when failures turn up.

Hello friend, The best thing to do when you are in such a dilemma is, follow your heart and passion. Sometimes, your passions may not be very successful, but you will feel very happy in your life and you will never regret any bit for choosing the path. If you want to succeed in your life, then think of the best career opportunities that is available according to your qualification, search for it, join the career and work hard to bring yourself up to that position which will satisfy you. But I cannot assure you about the happiness that you might or not get with the job! Always follow your heart. At least you will never regret in your life and you will never cheat yourself.

yeah. You are right. Following one's heart is the most important and crucial thing in one's life. Although it needs a lot of courage to chase what u dream or do what you love the most. Thanks for your opinion by the way.:)

I tried a couple of jobs before. One due to being jobless so I decide to take the job just to start my life on something. Then I realize I am not even suited for the job. My qualification exceed the requirement so I was being pay less and look down by some people who didn't understand. Then another job, well paid but I wasn't happy. I didn't even like that job. Now my current job does make me happy, well paid and it something that I want to do for a very long time - which is starting my own business. My experiences from my past jobs help me a lot with my current job. I don't know whether you understand my story but I guess you should try to find what you really really want to do. You may fall some slope but that's life. It can't always be perfect.

I believe among your many passion, there is that only one that strike most. I would suggest you to take your time to find out what you enjoy most then from there you can decide which career path is the best for you.
