Australia Open has already reach quarter final for women single and many seeded players like Li Na and Serena failed to reach this round. Li Na had defeated by Kim Clijster through tight 3 sets game, she actually has lead until tie break at second set but still failed to complete it, she down until 0-4 at third set before finally wake up and has led 5-4 before Kim ended up to win the match with 6-4, so Li Na failed again from Kim just like repeated of last year Australian open final. Serena has also failed by Ekaterina Makarova, she defeated two set straight 2-6 and 3-6, she's surprised by left handed played and asuperb ground strokes by Makarova. This is the worst achivement of Serena since 2008, she succeed to win 2009 and 2010 australian open but got injured and absence on 2011. So what do you think about Li Na and Serena performance in this tournament?

I think this is one of the poorest performance especially for Serena. It happens so happens that sometimes the winners lose.

I think Serene has a power game, that calls for top fitness and form. She is not getting younger, is plagued by injuries and competition at top is getting stronger for her.

well, really appreciate for both of your comments.. I feel Serena has losing touch in this game..Seems she unable to react fast against player who has great groundstrokes, it will become harder since the Australian open field surface is typical of fast ball as well..Even she has power but she no longer young and if she unable to maintain fitness really difficult to compete with current competitive women tennis era...

That true. Difinitely age matters and injuries that has sustained all through. I do not think she can be able to remain very competitive anymore.

I haven't followed it closely since the time difference to the U.S. makes it hard to watch and since my favorite Ana Ivanovic lost in the 4th round. I'm not a Serena fan so her loss doesn't bother me and she is on the decline; injuries will continue to be a problem for her. I kinda of like Li Na so it would have been nice if she could have gone farther.

well, understand your situation.. I am also feel same with you about Serena..She has suffered bad injured lately and many tenis players unable to survive from those kind of injuries..even players like Martina and Graf also suffered injury at the end of their legendary journeys.. I also feel Li Na will has better chance on the other tournament. Now she has ranking among top five in the world and no body can stop her easier and always be careful when play against her.. appreciate your response...
