How many marriages, how many divorces, how many prayers, how many new discoveries?

Wow, that's messed up that so many, Many people are born poor. I can't believe how we are destroying our rain forests; we could benefit sooo much from having them: with all the discoveries of previously unknown animals & plants, with all the benefits we could have from the possibility of new medicines... very sad.
I didn't realize that there were so many more people being born than dying.
We have had several recent deaths in my family and three recent/upcoming births, after many years of no births or deaths in the family. So I guess my family isn't really indicative of life on this planet...
Just curious: where did you get this information?
