Wind or storm ?

It is windy in Indonesia. In the last two days, the wind has made me feel uncomfortable. I have read many news about the damage and seen some trees, billboards, banners even houses that are broken because of the wind. Is it wind or storm ? It is not as strong as storm but too strong for wind. This weather makes the signal gone and back, gone and back. I don't like to go out because the wind will blow my hair and I'll look like a ghost :(. I don't like to tie my hair. Hope the weather will be good soon. How's the weather in your place ?

The weather's still unfriendly,,,
It's getting worse last night especially when PLN turned off the electricity,,
I was starving last night because I ran out of rice and I didn't want to buy some because of the strong wind.
I've tried to go out yesterday to get some candles and I'm pretty sure I won't like being outdoors in this kind of windy weather! It made me get cold (I've had flu since last Friday and it's getting worse lately because of the wind)
Poor me :(

Yes, and yes!
I was so angry.... I couldn't do my task because my PC was off, my cellphone battery was almost empty, and I was starving... Hahaha...
Moreover, the blackout took a long time.. Imagine, it started at 10 a.m and ended at about 8 p.m.
Well, I guess it's also because of the strong wind too...

Oww we lost power too last night, for about three hours and I was just laying in bed and did nothing. Don't use candles, try to use emergency light or torch. You can charge it when the electricity on and turn it on when the power off :) It is more simple.

It's a fine weather here in my country; but few weeks before there was a strong typhoon that damaged several properties and left so many people homeless. January is a good month here in the Philippines since the temperature goes down and it is not very hot plus there are no more typhoons to fear. Hope your weather is fine now.

Here too it is end of winter, but for last 4 days the weather is cool and windy, i don't feel good, there is frequent power failures, though internet is ok.

Yeah, same here in Jogja.
I've also read the news saying that in the beach and ocean, the wind blows harder than those in the mainland. It said that started from the southern area of Jogja (Bantul) to the Parangtritis Beach and went on to the beach, the wind blows harder.
It also said that it would reach its peak on 26-27 Jan till the end of January.
Let's hope for the best for us.

Hm, actually, i came from Semarang. I live my childhood there. :)
And Semarang was famous for its flood (remember "Semarang kaline banjir?") :)
But i'm not saying that it's good after all.

I hope the weather gets good for you soon. Im sure you dont like the weather at all and its scary to be in that typeof weather too, hopefully you can do out and run some errands soon too. I hope you are stocked up on items so that you dont have to run out in the bad weather and risk your life.
Now the weather in Florida (USA) is amazing. Its actually a nice day to go to the beach, but im sure the water is cold. its sunny, a little windy but very nice out today and i wish i wasnt at work so i could be outside on my back porch enjoying this nice weather we have been getting.

It is still windy here (from Probolinggo to Sidoarjo is the same). I believe it is due too storm that occurs in northern area of Australia (above Hindia Ocean), as it pull the cloud from other surrounding area. We can see the satellite image from BMKG website.
I think we must get accustomed to the bad weather, as our friends in Philippines experienced 20 times a year (the surrounding climate will affect Indonesia too).
