My granddaughter Subhee faced an interview for admission to the best convent school in the city. She could answer all questions asked, smartly, not shy at all, hope she will be selected; I want to put her in the best school and give her the best possible education, here the good schools interview the kids as well as the parents before admission. What about your place? Guess all members like to give best possible education to their kids, depending upon funds one can afford. So what is your opinion on this issue, please comment and respond. Please respond, share your views. Thanks in advance. Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead. 26/01/2012

I share your views Professor and it is good your granddaughter has done well in her interview.I gave the best possible education to my child at home itself because his school was just simple and not really great. But he is a voracious reader, passed his CA at the age of 21 , got all six calls from 6IIMs after his BCom/C.A , has hundred cerificates to his credit and umpteen successful medals in all intercollegiate competitions and by God's grace has performed wonderfully.I was very keen on getting him a convent education, but the first year when we got transferred to a new place he was denied admission though he was a topper. They denied him admission because he was not a christian and we put him in a different school which had CBSE syllabus. There are no regrets because he is a star performer. But good school is a 'must' for all children. Not only that, sufficient support has to be provided at home. You are a teaher yourself and therefore you know the value of education.

Here there are some schools that are exclusive and do require an interview process of some sort, but most of the people here go to public schools that are districted based on where you live in the city. We are lucky that the school district that our home is in is a good one and I feel that my daughter has gotten a good education so far. However, not all of the schools in the county are as good as her school.

Hello Professor, This is trend in Delhi also most of the schools take interviews of kid and parents during admission what they call it as interaction. Recently my kids also got admission (Nursery) in one of the best school in my location.During interaction my daughter replied whatever was asked by the teacher but my son as he is bit shy did not reply. So as was expected my daughter's name was there in the first list made by the school admin but my son's name was not there but on behalf of my daughter they became ready to take my son also in the school as they are twin and i became adamant that i will send both the kids in the same school.

That's wonderful. I don't know if that is done here for kids to get into special schools. Maybe it is. I'm so proud for all of your happiness.

dear dada I guess every parents wants to give their kids the best education they can. Education as the best gift as parent could offer to their kids. Best schools means best funds as well- though, some public schools here in my country are competitive and much preferred by other companies when it comes to job offers and higher position as well. One of my friend who top number 2 on the Engineering board exam graduated from a public school. Beating all the best schools huh- Ateneo-La Salle- etc. Shubee is so cute and I am sure she can make it

Hello Sir , nice to hear about Subhee's interview . I'm sure she will get admission and I wish you her all the best . I too studied in a convent school and I still remember the day of my interview . It is one of the best schools in our city . My parents too appeared before the board . I tried in just one school and got selected . I think the interview of parents and their wards is prevalent in all educational institution nowadays . Wish you good health and regards .

I agree in some school they hire teachers but pay very low, less than that of a skilled labor, hence some teacher don't teach well. But the school where she will be admitted is different. Professor Best of luck.
