Is it possible to earn enough here to make a living ...

Due to some stress at the workplace I planned to look for alternatives. Sometime back I had tried Adsense but failed. Money was going out instead of the other way around. I registered in MyLot three months ago but reviewing through a few discussions I kinda lack confidence. On second thought I noticed the amount of discussions and resposes submitted by members so I presume there must be something into this which was not revealed. Or I have yet to find the right topic. Here, I decided to post my first discussion - 'Is it possible to earn enough here to make a living...'. I need to get responses. I hope you veteran MyLotters or even new MyLotters who are high graders could advise me on how to make money here good enough for my monthly expenses. Is it possible or am I asking for too much? I would like some friends to join me at MyLot but I need to be a succes at some level before I can do that.

NO .. I don't think it is practically possible to achieve that here.... you will have to type very fast and respond to as many as possible.. but still you can make about 1-2 $ a day.. you can get referrals who can help your earnings..

Hi! Mylot does pay you but one just can not entirely depend upon earning from this site. For on line earning, one needs to explore other options and other sites and s/he needs to devote 6-7 hours to make a handsome earning.

Hello, no doubt my lot is legit and good one site. You can earn some amount from it. For it you must be spend some time here. It have some more feature to earn like tasks. But it is hard to earn enough for living from this site. For it must be join some more site. Some articles writing sites and some survey sites. Only my lot is not enough.

If cost of living in your country is $ 10/month than it's possible..... but somehow I doubt it (No country had that low cost of living nowadays) Personally my first reason why I decide to join here is for money but then I realize I was wrong. The best part be Mylotters is we can learn many thing. We can improved our English language, we can learn how to make big money out there (beside Mylot), we can share our knowledge, we can make friends, etc. Some members said to earn some descent income (few cents more)in Mylot, we must forget about earning. Just enjoy all discussions (open, respond and comment back) and suddenly our income grow up without notice. By the way since you still new in here, I gonna give some tips how to earn money in Mylot. Just visit this discussion below and look post under my name: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2622616.aspx Note: always follow Faq's and guidelines Happy lotters

The cost of living is high globally. This is why I need to get some extras. I still need to learn a lot from here. I mean how to make posting etc. Is it necessary to make replies to all responses or to some only. Anyway this is my first discussions I would like to make some replies. If I cant make it to all I hope it's ok.

i doubt it, mylot doesn't even pay a cent per post. You can do the writing/blog thing ive been hearing about but i rather do my own things if im gonna spend that much time or get a job. There is some survey sites out there you can join which pay way quicker then this site.

Yesterday I posted this discussions and commented on 2 or 3 other discussions and I noticed $0.12 earning on my dashboard. I wonder how post are calculated. Is it $0.007/post? It is actually too minute. Well, you are right like you said there are other options or just do my own things.

Earn for a living, I guess it takes a lot of hard work here in Mylot if you can be active in straight 24 hours.. but I guess Mylot will only help us to earn some extra cash. That is only my opinion, I am not that expert here, I suggest you should answer some tasks and it will also increase your earnings..

I suppose so hard work and patience too. No sleep 24 hours here ..I think it's crazy ..oops! It's tough even to make a few cents. But nice knowing you ..

It isn't really possible to make a living from here. You might look at diversifying and joining multiple sites, but even then it'd be hard to earn enough online unless you got an online job of some kind.

I am pretty sure from reading all the post that it's not possible. I don't even see myself making it to the payout minimum anytime soon. If you want to just participate in some good discussions then it's the place to be. If you need to make a living then I wouldn't waste my time here because it is certainly not worth it and your time could be better spent somewhere that does pay.

Of course you can't earn much here. well, I have read some users here who have earned 30 dollars the highest a month. but then I'll tell you how it works. You certainly have to be active in here as possible. I can say, those who earn 30 dollars in here do tasks or participates most of the time in discussions. I think they are too busy in front of computer it's like they don't have time for eating or taking a bath and sleeping as well. that's how I can imagine what they do, or I am not just like them who can really type fast and have strong connection and have many things to say in a certain topic. Well, whatever kind you are, if you have many times to participate in here, just do. But i can't say, you can earn a living in here. It's better to be called a living if you can really earn 50-100 dollars..don't you think?

Hello rooftop, No you cannot depend only on MYLOT for money to live. And i think one cannot only live on the earnings he/she gets from online sites. You need a regular offline job. But these online earnings are like bonus and help a lot.So you should not think of making a living out of it but just enjoy the residual earnings.

'earn enough here to make a living'!! sorry rooftop but this is too much.. No, that's not possible.. even if you are super active here you can earn maximum $20/month(I'm not sure though).. Now ask yourself, $20 a month enough for you?? Mylot is a fun site where you do stuffs that you like. making friends, chatting with them, and many more.. But they do reward us for doing this.. A nice small income every month.. But as a living!! Don't even think of that.. Although you can use the task section for doing or creating tasks.. Doing tasks will give you a little extra, but creating tasks can be really profitable if you set your campaigns well.. Best of Luck. I like your name.. rooftop :)

No,$20/m isn't enough. Anyway it's nice knowing that an honest bunch of MyLotters who responded to my topic gave similar comments. So I know exactly what not to expect. I have tried doing task but failed. I misunderstood what was needed. I will attempt again later on. Thanks for liking my name. Pretty odd eh .. but easy to remember. So remember me eh!

Welcome back rooftop. It looks like you're getting a lot of response from your first post. Well, as other says here, you can't make mylot to make a living. But you can still earn here. If you want to earn a lot, you must be always active here and participate in discussions. And also don't forget to write quality response. Happy lotting my friend.

Hi rooftop! As for my experience, I used mylot to be aware of the ideas of other peole.. The earnings here just serve as a bonus for me. Since, I'm using our office's internet and doing mylot blogging every time I've finished my job earlier than expected. Don't depend on mylot earnings. Cheers! :D

No, it is not possible. It is really hard to make US$10 month and I have never made that amount of money but I come here for a different reason. To meet People and to exchange ideas with people who have similar tastes and also to help mylot friends by lending support through times of trouble in their lives. So if you want to make a living then you will have to go elsewhere but stay in touch and build up a friendship base. You will have fun

I believe you cynthiann. It's not easy to make the US10/m. This is my first discussion I have yet to see the outcome in a month's time. Your reason to be here is meaningful. It is good to have friends for discussions. If no friends, MyLotters here are ever ready for any discussions. Yes, I shall have fun you too.

I personally believe that it is not possible to earn enough here to make a living, you may, at best, treat as an additional source of income, but never as a substitute of a regular source of income such as from jobs or any other offline business.

I joined thinking I was going to make some money too. Honestly the money made here is nothing compared to freelance writing or even forum posting, but the conversations are interesting and the people are cool. I check my updates through email and comment on conversations that catch my attention, but I'm not even expecting to get paid anytime soon. If I were you I'd enjoy the community, but don't get your hopes up about breaking the bank with mylot.

Haha breaking the bank .. you are good, humourous. I was merely curious looking around MyLot. There are many members. I thought maybe making good money here. To my dismay after some research.. All MyLotters like to hang around a lot exchanging and giving ideas etc...cool yea!

Hi rooftop! We have the same question in mind when I joined myLot a couple of months ago. Although I was not so active in myLotting lately, I made more than a dollar now. I can say that it will not save you monthly expenses since this site will not provide you a promising earnings, but just to pay you enough on your discussions and participation. If you were good enough in sharing and participating in the discussions here, maybe you will have extra earnings not more than what you expected. If you were so serious about making money online, try more money making sites rather than focusing only here. There were many money making sites that was legit like myLot. Online jobs requires patience and persistence in work. So good luck doing job online!

I suppose any newcomers to MyLot share the same kind of doubts like ours. It is good to know the level of earning here before starting off blindly. I am actually serious about making some money online but I am neither smart nor hardworking. I am beginning to like it here but shall try elsewhere too. Thanks for the response.
