The ecstasy of given a new life? To carry on your family blood? Consolation , helping or depending when you get old? Please tell me what do you think.

I was brought up knowing that people get married in order to start a family. And family means having kids. This is also taught in the religion I profess. But regardless of these, I think a lot would marry so that they could have kids. Children brings this sort of happiness to parents. It's really hard to explain the kind of happiness a parent feel until you become a parent also.

Having kids or not having kids is a personal decision. I have seen many women who ought to have no children and they are fine. Most people will have children because they want someone to carry on the family name later in life.
