My Dear Bhnusb This is a shocking news to me. This is the first time I have come across such claims. If you are taking of skim milk or evaporated milk, I tend to agree with you. If you study the contents of a proper milk, there are so much of fats compared with other nutrients that can make anyone gain weight. Of course, eating or drinking nothing but drinking milk alone can help to lose weight. The richness of the milk can sustain a healthy life for years to come. Anyway, I awaits your reply on my take. Please write to me via this site. It would be interesting. OK? Thanks! Love: Bro. Joe. GBU

Hi hoseph my friend, thanks for giving so much importance to my discussion. It is true milk is rich in fats. But calcium and Vitamin D which contain in milk help to reduce weight. I just share the information which I got from a newspaper.

My dear Bhanusb Don't get me wrong! I am not against eating 'monounsaturated fats' but it should be taken proportionately. If you want to increase vitamin D and calcium, you should focus on eating 'sea food' that is fish, clams, prawns. They have almost 'zero' fats but rich in iron and etc. Hope that this message will clarify more. OK? Thanks! Love:Bro. Joe. GBU

You mean calcium? Well then you don't need to drink milk at all (good news for those who have a lactose-intolerance, this besides of the fact you also drink antibiotics if you drink milk). You can get calcium also out of other kinds of food or take them as a tablet. Vitamine D is also in the sun, for those who don't live in the sun: buy the tablets it can help against depressions as well. BTW 6 kg less in 2 years time.. it is hard for me to believe this is the effect of drinking milk. As soon as you start with a test like that people already start living more healthy. And if it's also in food prepared by milk eating a lot of cheese should do too. Weird we have so many overweighted people in my country. I checked our milk, yoghurt etc.. no vit. D in it, sorry!

Hi Kitty, I checked your profile. You are from Netherlands, one of the first ranking exporters of cow's milk. If we get directly Vitamin D and calcium from milk why should we take tablets ! There are many fat people in your country. They are fat because they don't do exercise. So far I know milk is the most idle food.

Actually, you gain more calcium from certain vegetables, fruits and nuts than from milk. We drink almond milk, it's higher in calcium and lower in fat and calories.

Hi nanajanet, Yes we can get calcium from some vegetables, fruits and various types of nuts. But milk is a ideal food. From milk other than calcium we can get various minerals which are helpful for our health. My friend, take care of your health.
