India one of the big country, but still we are developing country after having great wealth and intelligent peoples and I think it will never be developed till our great political leaders run the country. 98% Indian political leaders are either corrupted or are just thinking to make money no one thinks about the country everyone thinks about themselves. I don't have problem with Congress or BJP Both have ruled India but still no change have been seen till now Every one is corrupted and sometimes I feel shame that I am born in India ( A Great Country )

India is a great country. It may not be as perfect as one may want now but India can stand up one day when there is enough Indian people making a demand for it. With people like you who is ashamed of the bad situations that India is going thru, and people like you who wants to do something to change, to make a difference, there is HOPEfor India. I hope I am going to see a developed, peaceful India in my lifetime.

Hi Vineeshdon, How are you friend Thanks for this great topic, I think India will be Developed country one day. You said that India is a big country and still a developing country so i want to say something that China is also a big country but still a developing country but they will be soon developed. India will also be developed but for it we will have to wait.

Politicians are there because of our support. If the politician has not done good, we vote him out. The decision is in our hands. It is what democracy suppose to mean. But when a corrupted politician keeps retaining his seat, whose fault is it? Are the voters blind? But there are such politicians in our country. The voters, especially in the poor countryside villages, who struggle to just survive in day to day living, don't have channels for new or true information like internet to know what is really happening. They are usually exposed to propaganda by the government of the day and accept monetary or material handouts thinking the government is looking after them. The truth is that the government should have provided the necessary infrastructures like irrigation to enable better crop harvest or make sure the price they can fetch in the market is consistent and reasonable. To make them dependable for government aids year in and year out is the same as buying votes. It is when the ordinary people know the truth and want to do something to change then we can see changes. It is our job to educate them, to let them know what they can do. New laws can be set but it is the people that determines the future.

If the political leaders running the country can first of all free themselves from corruption and then make the country men free from corruption,India will become a developed country within a very short period of time. There are so much talents in the country but unfortunately the country cannot make use of them. If the country is free from corruption, the talents would be properly used and the country would soon become a developed country in all respects.

well India is a great country . Even though it is the richest country in terms of its natural resources it is still termed as "A DEVELOPING country". i think its not only politicians who have to be blamed. we as citizens are all to be blamed for India's state of today. it is our duty as citizens to keep the public places and vehicles neat and clean. Don t you think implementing such measures from each citizen s side would in a small way lead to the development of our country....? let s hope v do take care from now on to do our best...

Yes. It is the citizens that determine the future of a country, There is no use to to have first world infrastructures but third world mentality. All of us have to do something to make our country to move forward. Education is the most important factor in changing the world. Corruption is the easiest way to break a country. If we want our country to be prosperous one day, do not get involve in corruption - don't accept bribes, DON"T BRIBE .

see its very unfortunate that in last 60 years so much laws has been made to ensure people of India must not be able to voilate or do anything illegal at the same time underemployment is enforced but sad part is that no laws are made to govern our leaders and rising corruption and inflation is making people of India feel that we are being cheated by our own politicians thats very sad situation and it can take grim form any time ........... Support to Mr Anna Hazzaarae by people of India prove that what I m saying carries weight ............. Hare Krishna Ganesh

Yes, we here believe this is possible. You are the world's largest democracy & one of our more preferred trading partners. Both of our main political parties have recently agreed to make it possible to open a massive trade deal with India. There are many things holding back a developing India & one of these is a massive supply of good quality & cheap uranium from good ol' Oz! We can put in place measures to limit & ultimately eradicate corruption at a government & corporate level in India with the conditional sale of this yellowcake. India has already put in place huge plans to expand nuclear plants to meet India's energy crisis & replace all of the coal-fired plants operating at present. The ball's now in India's court - just tell us you won't use it to wipe Pakistan off the map or go to war against China, & you can have as much of it as you can handle! http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-11-15/pm-proposes-lifting-uranium-ban/3666362

Hello vineeshdon, No doubt INDIA has the potential to be a developed country but the corruption in the country only is restricted it for being so. Most of the politicians, government sector employees are corrupted .Honesty it seems has been lost in INDIA. Being an INDIAN i always want my country to be like US/UK but i know its difficult as we need to do lot of changes to reach there.

As India is a democratic country we are electing political leaders likewise, we must have the power to call them back if they failed to do their duties. If we have this power political leaders will have some fear in safeguarding their position. Secondly, Indian government has to restore black money from swiz bank and reveal the names of black money holders.(I know this not possible because people who rule our nation are having more black money on the swiz bank). Corruption is not only in India, so there is no need to feel shame for this.

Yes ,i do think that we will become a developed country one day. And this is my belief. India is rising now, indians are rising now, youth of india is rising now. Obviously our politicians have been acting like termites since 1947 but one day they will repay for it. And the day is soon to come. What anna hazare has initiated will continue and the second independence from corruption will come shortly.:) i wish it happens before i die.
