I would say that I cook things on the weekends that take more time and are more intricate. For example, yesterday I made a big pot of sauce, italian sausages, home made meatballs, and pasta. I had garlic bread and salad on the side. yum! During the week I might make chicken cutlets with corn and mashed potatoes or tacos and rice. Something quick and easy.

@NailTech: I cook whenever I'm in the mood to cook food. When I do cook, I would normally make gourmet meals.. Mmmmmmmmmmm

Yummy, gourmet meals, can you come visit me someday and bring some along for me to taste? I'd like to try them.

MMmmm, you are making me hungry! Italian food, one of my faves of all time. I love that you had more time to make more food on the weekend. When are you inviting me over?

I think we definately buy out more on the weekends. I cook dinner every night Monday through Thursday and by the time Friday rolls around, I don't feel like cooking. I like to treat myself Friday nights for working and cooking all week. If we do cook on Saturday or Sunday, it's usually a bigger meal than what I would normally make during the week. I can't wait until the weather gets warmer though because I am definately looking forward to weekend cookouts.

Thats a good idea to treat yourself out for a week's worth of cooking and working all week as well.I love to BBQ outside, I wish I would do it more often. Everything tastes better when it's grilled to me.

I don't cook from Monday to Friday since I have to work. Most of the time my mom cooks for us. So sometimes in the weekends I will try to cooking for my family instead, especially when I have a good mood. I don't think it is a tiring housework. In fact I enjoy cooking. I have more spare time in weekends, so I'd like to cook something at that time. I love China

You have a wonderful mom, and I bet she's an excellant cook too. God bless her. I have one that cooks for her entire family too now and then. It can be very fun to cook, if depends on how you look at it and how you like the results!

It used to be where my husband & I would go out to eat almost every weekend, but lately we are trying to sick to our budget. With the economy the way it is lately we can't afford to eat out a lot. So for the past couple of months I have been cooking more on the weekends so we can eat at home & save money.

Yup alot of people are cutting back still with the rate the economy has been. They say it's getting better but there is still food prices that are way too high and such so how much better is it really? I have been cooking more for my family too to save money, every penny counts!

thats a good idea, too. why bother to cook on weekends if you don't have to, it's more of a chore that way then for some. resting is for the weekend, yay!
