Do you celebrate Valentine's Day as a family? Yes me and my husband celebrate Valentine's Day with our daughter and we do something special for her as well as us just finding some time to celebrate by ourselves. This year we are getting her a balloon for Valentine's day. every time we go to the store she see the balloons and wants one so she'll have one to play around with for a few days.

For most of the day we do spend time together as a family on Valentine's Day. We give the kids a little something whether candy or a small item they have been talking about. There is a cake or cupcakes after dinner to share. But this day is also our Wedding anniversary too. So spending some time together alone is important too. We may go out to dinner alone or as a family. Depends upon what everyone has on their agendas that week. Happy Valentine's Day!

Are daughter is 1 so its hard to leave her or find someone to watch her so we can leave her. We are getting her a balloon. I never got gifts as a kid I got flowers from my dad or candy but that was it. I wouldn't do a cake or cupcakes unless it was for my kids school which is like years away for us right now. We are planning to do something just the two of us when we have some family in town.

Just make sure that you purchase a "Mylar" balloon for your daughter. Those are recommended as the safest. The regular balloon are dangerous for little ones. They have a high risk potential for choking hazards in little ones. The "Mylar" balloons don't. Just letting you know to be on the safe side, we can't always be with them every second of every day and traditional balloons break all the time. The "Mylar" balloons lose air and droop and when they finally land you can throw them away. Happy Valentine's Day!

We where going to get her the balloons on a stick because they tend to die slowly. I'm not sure if they are the balloons your talking about but I'll look into them and ask the store about it.

We also share the Valentine's Day as a family, ShyBear88. Why not take every chance to share with our loved ones how we feel about them?

I think most everyone body does that these days. I always tell my husband and daughter how much I love them or that I do love them even when I'm upset about things. They can both drive crazy and I still love them. We say it every day but we don't always show it every day it can be hard to show your love every day but its a good thing to do something nice and show that you love someone even when it's not a holiday.

Well, it is for the most part just my husband and I besides our Pomeranian. I was never able to have kids, so that has never been an issue. We are actually getting ready to head out of town in the morning since our Anniversary is on the 13th, and will be celebrating somewhere else. So it will be an early get away for us and one that will make for a lot of great memories I am sure as well.

Your lucky to be able to leave when you two want to with out worry about little ones. Well you do have to worry about the dog of course and if your taking him/her with you or not. I don't mind not being able to not have the night alone. We all lots of time left after having kids to do so as well that and now we can really save up for something big that we would want to do.

Rather than getting my wife some gift that she does not need we plan to take a trip later in the year and our Valentines Day Present will be doing something special on the trip.

One of the things that we traditionally do is to go out to dinner a few days either before or after Valentine's Day as a family. In addition to that, I will also pick out a gift of some sort for each of the kids because they are the love that is the most important in my life and I really want them to remember that I do love them. In addition to that, we will be having birthday cake this year because one of our dogs was born on Valentine's Day four years ago and our other dog will be turning a year old on the 18th.

That's nice. We got out to dinner together and then me and my husband will find time to just go out the two of us for Valentines day. My little one is still kind of small for a gifts or candy still. She is has plenty of things to play with right now.

I celebrate Valentine's Day with my husband. Every year we have always done something special. This year we will go out to dinner for Valentine's day. I remember our first Valentine's Day I had walked up to his work at Midnight and decorated his car with a bunch of silk roses and also attached a stuffed animal. I also had three balloons on his car door. He was surprised.

Dear ShyBear, Yes we do. We have dinner as a family. We also exchange Valentines and each person receives a small gift. This has been a tradition in my family since I was a child.
