I agree with not being able to earn money since the whole point of a torrent, for me at least, is to download software that would normally cost money for free. I'm pretty sure its' illegal too but, even though it should, it doesn't stop me.

you can earn money from torrents in different ways depending on the sites. I don't know all of it yet but there is a method and some people do it quite well.
