I've heard about Shaqiri because I've read in some news that Nedved actually ever recommend this player to Juve management board!
But instead of Shaqire, Juve chose Milos Krasic.
Don't know if the fact above is right or not. But seeing the name came up, i believe this player is a good one, like you said. Even i myself never see him playing on the field.
Well, good luck for Munchen with the new player.

I did not follow the news and did Bayern Munich got the player? If so, the German had got themselves a potential gem. Shaqiri is the biggest player to come out from Switzerland and he does possess the skills to perform at the biggest stage. And I don't think he can represent Bayern in this year Champions League. He represented Basel and had a hand in knocking Man Utd out of the group stage.

This is the first time I have heard about the youngster. I just looked up the internet and see that he is a highly rated winger from Swiss. I think with the ageing for Ribery and Robben, I think Bayern are looking for long term replacements down the wings. So this looks like a good buy, but I have not seen the kid play.
Cheers!

I don't much about that player but if Bayern munchen is interested in him, he must be a good player. IF he's able to play for Bayern, it would definitely do himself good, and naturally be good for Switzerland due to his experience with big teams in international cups. Bayern might need a couple of reinforcements to its squad and a new signing can boost morale in the dressing room, allowing them to play with confidence again.
