Is sorrow really just part of being human?

Does it matter wether or not good or bad things happen, because both will but it's your relationship between them that matter most. Thinking back over the last 24 hours-- what have you taken hard that you could have taken more lightly?

Does it matter? Well of course it matters but there isn't much you can do about it most of the time. There are always great things, good things, nice things and bad things that can happen to anyone at any time. Some we have control over and others just happen for no reason at all. We just have to learn how to deal and cope with whatever comes along the best we can. No sense getting depressed over the little things life throws at us. Did't have anything happen to me in the past day that would make me feel sad. It is all part of life and we are human and different acts affect different people in various ways. Feel good and smile, don't let the little things get to you!

I agree, it is useless to let the little things bother us. Why give anyone that power, try to live life however we can and be happy with what we have. If not then there are ways to change it usually, sometimes it just takes longer than other things to get better. I'm glad you haven't had anything happen to feel sad lately but maybe it's partly because your attitude is so good.

I don't know if it's something I took *hard* but I got really angry about something stupid; a shift change that my boss did for me at work. She switched my schedule (without OK-ing it with me first) from 8am-3:30pm to 12-8. I was really pissed off and not talking to her all day today. I wouldn't call it sorrow but I would call it unnecessary angst. LOL. Sometimes we just need to remember to let things go...

Well, I can see how the shift change without your knowledge or approval could be anger enduced. I'm sorry it made you get so pissed off and didn't talk to her all day. Its a good idea to let many things go for the sake of your sanity, if not others. I have always learned that.

What has to be inside peoples heads at all times is that patience is the key. During bad times, we tend to say things out of emotion that we really shouldn't or didn't want to say, sometimes it's not even true!

I hear you. Patience is what I need more of these days. I've been pretty good with it over the years though. And I have been there when some things have been said to me out of emotion that weren't even true, some of the worst things too.
