My grandson now wants to move in with me....thats because when his brother was a toddler he use to live with me, just because I wasn't working at the time...between jobs,,,so now the younger thinks its his turn... He has been here with me for two weeks...Now he is not a problem at all I just don't like getting up in the morning taking him to school. But thats the only grief I have so I am not going to complain and just keep getting up in the mornings taking him to school..LOL.... How about your grand children, children, neices or nephews..do they like staying other places other than home...

This a common issue with children. What I do is to make sure that I only allow them to stay with me during holidays but not those school days. The school homework is so much to handle sometimes.

Thanks for your response, I don't have a problem with him spending nights,,,out of the 2 weeks he has been here I have yet to assist with home work...I have only had to sign his test thats a requirement which have been nothing lower than 84.... I am a very lucky and Happy NANA, and truly feeling the love,,,, thanks

It is good that he do not have alot of homework. Sometimes my son has like 5 project in one day. It is usually hard to manage.

Hi BJ, I can relate to the whole morning thing a lot! When my Grandson was little, I still had a 5 yr old myself that I had to run to Kindegarten and two girls in Middle School that I had to run to school and then race back home for him to catch a bus to pre-school. I had my kids spaced apart as you can see. What a freakin rat race in the morning! And then I had to meet my grandson's bus at 11AM when he returned and pick my daughter up from Kindergarten by 11:20....Crazy times. We do it for love. My grandson never actually lived with me but he loves coming over here and spending time. He's now 13 and he spends school vacations with me. I also have a grandaughter who isn't so into spending time away from home. She will spend a day with me and has spent the night but prefers to be home at night. I also have a one yr old grandson that I watch on all my nights off from work. Crazy hectic schedule but I wouldn't have it any other way. It's cool that your grandkids like to live you but does it take away from you enjoying being a grandparent? I ask because I think I'd feel more like a parent than a grandparent.

Me too, Stowk! My oldest grandson is 13, my grandaughter is 6 and then my youngest grandson is just a bit older than a year. Next week is school vacation so on my days off from work, I will have all of them here....can't wait.

Well, my situation is just the opposite. My grandson doesn't always like being around me. I live here with my daughter and my grandson and i back up my daughter when she has to anialate him for something. Hehe He doesn't always take to it well. I don't do mornings either so that could be a problem. Don't get me wrong, we do have our good times together.
